The Five Stans of The Silk Road was a very interesting trip. Not only is there a lot of history long before and after The Silk Road, there was also contemporary history with the dissolution of The Soviet Union. Our tour guide was old enough to live through this so could provide some insights into how bad it was to live through that period (something we never saw in the Western media). It is quite a long way from Almaty to Ashgabat so there were some long days (sometimes there wasn't much time to explore the cities). Some great scenery, particularly going up through the mountains in Kyrgyzstan. Interesting cities too, both still existing and no longer (some of these ancient cities had a lot of people in them!). Leaving our tour guide at the border with Uzbekistan was like leaving a member of the family behind.

The first part of the tour through Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan was fabulous! Aside from beautiful scenery and friendly people, our tour leader (Tina) was exceptional. I wish we could have had her for the entire 18 days. We had 3 other tour leaders who were good and not so good. We saw some stunning scenery in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan and amazing Islamic architecture. The downside for me was that there was too much detailed historical information given by some guides and not enough time for exploring at the sites of interest.

What an amazing trip through the 4 Stan’s. Great scenery, friendly people, interesting cities, towns and villages. We saw some amazing historic sites from the old Silk Road. A truly great trip made even better by the best tour guide we could have wished for. Tina was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable and fun to be with. She made sure we all had the best time. Thank you Tina. David and Casandra

The first part of our Trip a Deal “Stans Package” was excellent. The flight across to Bishkek was long as we avoided Dubai ( due to the war) and went via Guonghou with China Southern (including a hotel stopover due to the time between flights. Our guide Tatiana was at the airport when we arrived (at midnight) to guide us to our hotel. Tatiana was very helpful and informative throughout our first leg. She explained both modern/ancient history and cultural aspects of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. Local guide Tanya also was good in Almaty. Bus was comfortable but some of the roads are rough due to roadworks. Spectacular scenery. Enjoyed the Eagle demonstration, mountain/waterfall walks and staying in the yurt camp. . Hotel quality varied but was generally good. Cheers Ralph and Angela

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience of the Fours Stans with Tripadeal. The guides were all excellent. Tatiana from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan was extremely sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. She assisted me up to the waterfall and lookout when I was determined to get there. Sergey Yan in Uzbekistan went above and beyond his requirements. For a young man of 21, he was extremely accomplished and knowledgeable. Our third guide in Tajikistan, Ilhom Komilily was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Each guide spoke English well. I would recommend this trip to everyone.

Great trip! Well organised. The guides were fantastic- passionate and informed - Vitaliy in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Sergey in Uzbekistan and Fridavs in Tajikistan. They made it! It was mind blowing to be amongst so much history that I knew so little about - to travel the land Ghengis Khan and Alexander the Great also travelled. Clean, safe and magnificent scenery

Great tour and guides, Tatiana, Sergay and L. Krygzestan was a mix of city and country which was good. We were only in Kazakhstan for one day which was not worthwhile. Just for the sake of saying it was four Stans ? Mosques were beautiful, museums overrated and too many visited. Hotels and meals provided were excellent.

First of all, it wouldn't be a good holiday if it wasn't for our fabulous Guides.. Tatiana Rozinkevich.. Covered Kyrgyzstan & Kazakhstan She was very Informative friendly and knowledgeable explained everything in detail.. We spent Efficient time at most places, in Kazakhstan we wished we could've spent longer 2days wasn't enough. It was very Peaceful place, would be nice to see abit more of it... Personally I loved my holiday, Mixing with the Local, trying local Cuisine, love the architecture of the whole place.. I recommend this tour for anyone... The only downside there was so much walking as our group consisted mainly of 65 -to 80yr old, There were many steps in different places. We would of liked abit more free time doing shopping and looking around the city .. Overall The Stans holiday was Amazing . Thank You Tatiana Rozinkevich For everything You did for us .

Trip-A-Deal arranged an excellent trip across 4 Stans for us. They are inherently interesting countries however the agenda for the trip and the great guides we had in each country were able to explain the highlights of the many places we visited very well. The guides were well organised and so that meant a well organised and seamless trip for us. Visit the Stans with Trip-A-Deal and their wonderful guides - you will love it.
