What To Expect
Lake Sevan
Experience Armenia’s night sky like never before on a stargazing adventure by Lake Sevan. Your journey begins in Yerevan at 3:00 or 4:00 PM, where you’ll depart for the tranquil Vishap Shore of Lake Sevan—one of Armenia’s darkest and most beautiful stargazing locations, just two hours away. When you arrive, telescopes will be set up and ready for you to explore the night sky. As the sun sets, your experience officially begins. Led by expert astronomer-guides, you’ll observe visible space objects through high-powered telescopes—including smart, modern devices that display celestial bodies in full color and detail. Throughout the evening, you’ll spot planets, stars, moons, and galaxies that shift with the season and the sky. Around the campfire, sip herbal tea or coffee and enjoy simple treats like roasted potatoes, marshmallows, and sweets. Between observations, enjoy relaxed science talks with astronomers, ask questions, and take in the peaceful mountain air.
