STINGRAY CITY - This is one of the top attractions within the Cayman Islands. With some of the largest southern stingrays in the Caribbean, Stingray City is a must when visiting the Cayman Islands. On this three stop tour, you will have the opportunity to swim among some of the largest stingrays and most colorful reefs surrounding the Cayman Islands. In Stingray City the crystal clear water does not exceed five feet; the highlight of the excursion is the picture taking moment. With the assistance of boat crew, visitors will have the chance to pose near stingrays for the perfect picture, a moment not to be missed.
Starfish Point

Appreciated safety concerns for participants by vendor. Our snorkeling trip was canceled due to high winds and heavy air. Vendor informed us in timely manner, allowing us to explore other tour options. They refunded our tour promptly.

We remembered Stingray City when it was teeming with stingrays. This tour ended up merely being a short photo op with one. We did enjoy our time with starfish though.

A must do and fun experience when visiting Cayman Islands! The water at reef snorkeling was definitely rougher than I expected at the time, so it wasn't as enjoyable. The Stingray City was extremely busy and packed (even during the weekdays) and it was going to be a long wait, but the staff didn't waste time waiting around, so we did the other activities and then circled back to the stingrays. The staff were all friendly and professional and did their best to make it a great time, especially with the stingrays. They made sure everyone got to pet, feed, and take photos with them.

We had a pretty disappointing day on this tour. To start things off the check in process was extremely chaotic at the cruise port with no one there to tell you where to go. Once we got checked in we were put onto two buses to go the marina. At the marina there was no one there to meet us. Our bus driver was making calls and circling the lot to figure things out for us. We then got loaded onto a nice sail boat just to be told it was the wrong boat so we all had to get off and switch to a big, more run down vessel. The crew was underwhelming- everyone felt low energy and disengaged. The captain hardly spoke to anyone. There was no hyping people up or facts about the island. I saw several people struggling while snorkeling and none of the crew got in the water to guide and help at all - they just watched from the boat. When we got to the Stingray City stop our time was cut short because it took so long to get our boat anchored. At one point we banged into another boat already anchored. There was a lot of going back and forth and repositioning. Once we were finally anchored and allowed out and rushed in order to stay on schedule. They found a sting ray, walked it around the circle to allow everyone to touch it and then had everyone line up for pictures. They had a few pre chosen poses to do with the stingray. They purposely blocked you from taking your own photos so you’d buy the photo package ($70 USD for mediocre pictures with lots of people in the background). There were FAR more people there than Stingrays and it felt like a tourist trap vs a natural experience. There were about 15 boats there at the same time. Starfish beach had two little starfish with a crowd around each. We’ve been fortunate to travel a lot and experience many excursions and this may go down as the most disappointing one. I honestly don’t know how it has such good reviews.

Enjoyed the snorkeling, stingrays, and starfish. It was a bit crowded both on the transfer bus and on the boat, as well as at these attractions, but it was to be expected in seeing reviews and pics from previous guests. Staff was good, extra charges for pictures seemed a bit high and prices seemed to vary between groups which I didn't quite understand, but was thankful to have stingray pics. A bit like herding cattle through the picture lines. All in all it was definitely worth the price I paid for the excursion and not booking directly through our cruiseline(VV). BTW, if you happen to be using Virgin Voyages cruise line the directions about meeting at the back of the terminal are not accurate as we got off our tender just walking distance down from the actual port. There's a little covered area, but you actually have to walk up to the blue roof port where other ship tenders dock and you'lll find it(bring ID for security, the cruise ID band isn't enough). Once there it's easy to find the sign, but asking for help with locals at the VV tender spot was frustrating as no one was helpful except one security guard. Communication was difficult day of with the tour operator as well, and Mark seemed completely overwhelmed. But all in all it was a fairly good excursion. 3 things in one for less than many single options around. Would have been nice if they baited the fish for snorkeling to have a little better luck.

Very nice experience! The water was beautiful. I would have stayed longer with the rays. The guides are excellent at catching and handing them over to us. At this point at sea, the water is shallow and it is therefore possible to touch the ground.
