This two-hour sea kayak tour is the perfect opportunity to experience Iceland's nature and wildlife at its very best. Truly a must-do for the adventurous traveller and nature lover eager to explore the west of Iceland. The tour takes you far off the beaten track as we kayak between the stunningly beautiful remote islands of Breiðafjörður (Broad Fjord) surrounded by mountains, glaciers and volcanoes.

On this personalised tour we teach clients the basic skills of kayaking before heading off in search of puffins and seals and to explore an abandoned shipwreck and learn about the fascinating history and geology of the wild and rugged Snæfellsnes peninsula. In a small group we enjoy the pristine nature in a unique and environmentally friendly way.

Great kayaking trip around bird sanctuary island and working harbor. Sit in kayaks and dry suits provided kept us warm and dry. Kristin owner was knowledgeable and very helpful. Would recommend

Lucas was a great and relaxed tour guide. We lucked out and had beautiful weather for our trip! The company was very gracious about a refund for our friend who was not able to participate due to safety reasons. Although the description here does not list a weight limit, be aware that there is a size limit with sea kayaks, as you must fit through the hole comfortably. I would say a hip width no bigger than 52 in. would be fine.

Everything about the tour was exceptional. Our guide was knowledgeable, kind, and added made it a fun experience. We had some inexperienced folks on our tour and he made sure to guide them through everything before we got on the water. The best part was seeing puffins and dolphins in the wild.

  • Experience not to be missed!

We ended up being the only two people on the tour and it was a great experience! Our guide was fun to talk to and we learned a lot from him! Would definitely do it again!

Love this tour, the guide was great and knowledgeable, and really loves the island. He was ready to go as soon as I got there. We went to an abandoned ship and there is a ton of birds. Meet up at the grey building, there may be parking in the area if it's not too busy, but no parking at the docks. They have Greenland kayaks, which are a lot of fun, and sit-on-top kayaks for beginners. They also provide a dry suit. Bring sweatpants, thick socks, beanie, gloves (if you don't mind them getting a little wet), and a light jacket or sweater recommended, the suit will keep you warm.
