Brilliant views, the kids loved it. Queue’s are crazy for the lifts and levitation and we went at a quiet time of year. Overall a good experience.

I had visited the Vanderbilt in the summer and wanted to show my son the spectacular views during his first visit to New York. I flew in to New York in the afternoon - so was unaware of the poor visibility. I assumed because the experience was open the views must still be ok. After making our way uptown and going through security checks etc etc we reached the top. It was an utter white out and you could not see a single thing. It was like white black out curtains surrounded the building. How the Vanderbilt can operate in such weather conditions in good faith and not explain what it's like at the top to visitors astonishes me. We felt like we had wasted our evening and felt utterly scammed. I am sure there are all sorts of warnings with the ticket - so technically they have the right to open and not inform customers - but in real terms we felt utterly scammed. My advice - check ahead and look at the weather forecast - if it's cloudy/misty/rainy- cancel. You get a full refund and can book for a better night. Don't, in good faith, assume the event would do the right thing and let you know at the entrance that you can't see a thing as they don't. So disappointing and leaves a really bad taste in your mouth.

Wouldn’t even give it a 1 star, Booked and paid extra for sunset. Won’t be getting in for hours due to complete greediness and overbooking. Save your money

Only go here if you really love queues. Be prepared to queue for an hour minimum to get in through the doors, another queue to get through security, a queue to get photos taken, a queue to get upstairs into the lift and then to queue again to leave. If you want to actually get in on time you would need to arrive an hour and a half before hand at least. The views are great but be prepared. We paid extra for a sunset slot and it was pitch black by time we got up!

Beautiful views of the NYC skyline from here. A fun and interactive attraction which is worth a visit. Takes a little bit of time to get through security but it is worth it.

The experience is amazing but badly let down by the queue, tickets were bought for a specific time but we stilled waited in a variety of lines for 1&1/2 hours, so hot, boring and unnecessary. Even Disney queues are better.

Do not buy in advance unless you’re sure it will be a nice day! Otherwise, it’s like going to spend some time in a cloud😡

I was visiting from out of town and met a friend who lives in the city to go to the Summit with. The staff was the best especially Samuel M, who was very very helpful and informative. I can tell they take their jobs seriously. It made the experience so enjoyable. I can’t wait to take my family when we are in the city the next time.

We went at night, extremely packed with loads of people. Staff was not overly friendly or enthusiastic except the one guy in the beginning assisting with picture taking,, Overall, we expected more.
