  • Excursion from hell

The whole trip should’ve been canceled. The weather was awful. It was torrential rain. The ship was very rocky. Probably 3/4 of the ship was throwing up with puke bags. It was disgusting not impressed at all.

Wear your sunscreen!! This is a great trip to see lots of aquatic life along the reef. It’s about two hours from cairns to Moore reef and there is lots to see our on the reef and on the submerged viewing point on the boat was a highlight. We did the glass bottom boat tour as well and got to see even more up close with extra information. The water isn’t too cool so it’s not overly refreshing but less hot than outside can be.

  • Reef is great, but the pontoon isn’t well maintained

Visiting the reef is always great, but the place wasn’t well maintained, the food wasn’t great, and the staff wasn’t super friendly. In my previous 2 visits to Cairn, I enjoyed the reef experience more with other companies.

Amazing reef, well organized, and personable staff. Helicopter ride back to Cairns was well worth it. It was fantastic

  • 1/2 day afternoon trip is the worst.

It was miserable. We were on the boat for over 6 hours and had 1 1/2 hours on the beach. We had to make 2 stops on the way out and 1 stop on the way back to pick up and drop off people. We had sausage on sliced bread for our lunch. It was pathetic. Please do not take this 1/2 day afternoon trip.
