Train Cemetery
They are remains of the locomotives of the ninth century and the beginning of the twentieth century are a must-see attraction in the visit to Uyuni, place to take artistic photographs. These locomotives are of German and English industry and were used to extract the ore from Cerro Rico de Potosí.
Colchani
It is a town located 23 km., North of the city of Uyuni, families are engaged in the extraction and processing of salt with rustic instruments and traditional tools, here we will visit a museum of the salt production process , where you can appreciate the art in salt.
They are small holes in the surface of the salt and have a special feature, they are born from the union of groundwater: fresh and salt, which cause a chemical reaction and produces the effect of boiling water.
We will go to the blinding whiteness of the Salar, 15 minutes from Colchani, we will stop to visit the Hotel made of salt and appreciate its interesting architecture.

1.00Day 1 in the well organized Salar and really comfortable hotel accommodation (dinner and breakfast, warm room). On day 2 terrible, the guide did not explain anything about the places where we stayed but just transported us from one place to another. At lunch on day 2 they had not taken note of my indication on the vegetarian menu. I wouldn't recommend this tour, given the price. Going to book on site with a few euros more you book the 3-day tour. I stress that in the Nomadex website it is sold as the first tour focused on sustainability and working with local communities. This turned out to be false as they joined me with people from other agencies who booked the excursion at much lower prices. In addition, when booking I had also purchased the sunrise tour to see the stars. I was advised by Nomadex to do the sunset tour since at dawn there would be little visibility. I agree by paying online and in € the additional package to that of 2D/1N and it is specified to me that there is no discount (I highlight this because I know of people who have paid locally in BOB at a much lower price). In the description the sunset tour says from 4 to 9 pm. I start the tour at 7am already in the Salar, so the sunset was already included in the other 2D/1N tour, but no one had specified it. At 7e15 we start taking sky-high photos, but the guides were cold and stopped in one place. At 8:15 I was told to come back. So I paid 50€ more for an hour and a quarter. Not transparent. Besides, I asked for an explanation and no one ever answered.
