What To Expect
Gansett Cruises

Watch the sun set in a comfortably cushioned and shaded deck, or from the top 'sunny side' deck. The guides, many of whom grew up on these waters, are enthused to share the legends and rich history of their home port. On every cruise, there's something special and complimentary from the galley that is representative of Rhode Island cuisine and culture. Guests on board discover the true flavor of The Ocean State, all compliments of the Captain. Sunset cruisers will enjoy a quahog "stuffie" and champagne to toast their relaxing evening on the water. Tour guide Patrick was awesome, the girl who served us drinks was very impressive I have no idea how she didn’t spill, and the captain let a little boy steer the ship at once point which was cute. They also gave out blankets if you were cold. Not over crowded and a nice ride!! Good people good pricing!

3.00It was a cold wind day in April. Unfortunately the weather was overcasted so we really did not sit on the top of the boat because it was too cold. The cruise 🚢 director was somewhat funny. He did his best to make it fun. Not sure it was worth the price. Maybe later in the season it would be worth it.

3.00The weather was not in our favor, but that can’t be helped! The crew was still very good (shout out to Bella). One negative was that it seemed like there were people on board who were associated with the company and brought their kids with them. The kids were young. They ran around the boat, were jumping on the seats, and were loud. That definitely took away from the experience.

5.00We were iffy on the weather, being the end if October. But we bundled up and were fine. We had such a great time! We learned a lot and had a perfect sunset! I would totally recommend it!

5.00Great experience. Our guide was amazing - very knowledgeable and funny. Perfect balance between pointing out what we were looking at and also time to enjoy/take pictures of the sunset. 10/10 would recommend. And will definitely do it again when we are back in Newport!
