What To Expect
Kompong Phluk
At Kampong Phluk we hop in a boat and explore, taking in the beautiful waterways and charming houses on stilts. In dry season you'll be able to see the watermarks on the beams showing how high the waters rise, and in wet season you'll see the villagers and fishermen going about their business by boat.
Tonle Sap Lake
Going out on the Tonle Sap itself is a deeply calming experience thanks to the still waters meeting the horizon as far as you can see. We round off the day with a drink (and dinner, if you wish) at a traditional floating restaurant to watch the sun set over the lake.

Thank you for taking care of your booking the night before (6 hours before the tour) as we didn't have time to do so (you may want to contact us as we booked in the middle of the night and may not know). I didn't choose the sunset time slot because I don't have much time to see the sights, but I'd love to see the sunset if I could join again. It's an extra charge, but a mangrove experience on the way? There was also a guide to the event! It was great because they explained things to me along the way and answered my questions in English! I'm happy you've been so kind.

5.00My visit to Kampong Phluk with SRL Travel was truly memorable and exceeded expectations. The tour was well-organized from start to finish, with clear communication and punctual pickup. Traveling in a small group made the experience more personal and allowed us to connect better with the guide and fellow travelers. The stilted village itself was fascinating – a unique and authentic glimpse into local life that you simply don’t get in more tourist-heavy spots. Cruising through the mangroves and seeing the houses rise dramatically above the water was both serene and eye-opening. The guide was knowledgeable and passionate, sharing insights into the community’s culture, history, and daily life. The highlight was, of course, the sunset. Watching the sun dip below the horizon from a quiet spot on the water was breathtaking – the colors reflecting on the river created a picture-perfect ending to the day.
