What To Expect
Experience the thrill of catching your first wave in Essaouira — Morocco’s surf paradise! This beginner-friendly surf class is designed for total newcomers who want to learn safely, have fun, and enjoy the beauty of the ocean. Here’s what you’ll do during your 2-hour session: 1. Welcome & Preparation: Meet your certified instructor at Bleuryde Watersports Center or enjoy pickup from your hotel. Get equipped with a surfboard and wetsuit, followed by a short safety briefing. 2. Warm-up & Beach Theory: Learn basic surf theory, paddling, and the “pop-up” technique on the sand before entering the water. 3. In-Water Practice: Head into the waves under the close supervision of your instructor. Catch your first waves, practice standing up, and enjoy personalized coaching. 4. Relaxation & Tea Break: Take a short rest on the beach and enjoy Moroccan mint tea or mineral water. 5. Second Surf Session: Return to the water to refine your skills, improve balance, and ride longer waves. 6. Wrap-Up: Back on the beach, get personal feedback, and take great photos to remember your surf adventure in Essaouira.

5.00Very fun and enjoyable experience. The coach is very attentive and gives excellent advice. I went from "never touched a board" to "able to stand up and turn on the waves" in 2 hours. Moreover, the staff is so kind and funny. I recommend it 100%

5.00My and my wife found Bleuryde accidentally while visited Essaouira and seeking for our first surfing experience. The pals at Bleuryde were very helpful, provided us with the complete surfing set and the instructor Muhammed who started with clear and helpful explanations and introductional excercises and in 2 hours we already were able to ride the waves! Well, of course not as those professional from video, the further improvement is the matter of practice, but anyway, that's really cool for just one lesson! Thank you, Muhammed and other Bleuryde pals, highly recommended for the surfing experience at Essaouira!

I used to surf as a teenager and haven't for 35 years so I took a beginners class. I was standing up in the first lesson. 5.00Super nice and attentive team. The instructors have been really adorable with the children and flexible with adults for all rentals or classes in parallel (we have or rent a board for two / come back when better conditions).
