5.00For a unique and relaxing excursion from Shanghai, this is an excellent tour. Sunny was meticulous in organizing my visit and was extremely accommodating to my schedule. My driver, Charles (who is marvelous and also incredibly helpful) picked me up at my hotel and we met Michelle in Tongli. Michelle offered a leisurely and highly informative tour, and she was wonderful company during the day-long trip that included tours of two gardens, a boat ride through Tongli's picturesque canals, lunch in Suzhou, and tour of a silk museum. I would be remiss to not mention the fact that Michelle is a talented photographer, and I have many keepsake memories of the day in my photo album! I highly recommend this tour and this touring agency.

5.00Tongli is a typical ancient water town that has retained its atmosphere, and Suzhou is worth a visit with its rich history. My guide, Judy, was very kind and attentive. She took me to an excellent restaurant in Tongli called "Nanyuan Tea House." After 15 days of touring China having good food, this restaurant was perhaps the best I've eaten at.

Day trip to Suzhou and tongli water town

5.00This is a trip not to be missed if you have time in Shanghai. Sunny picked us up at the hotel and explained the day to us. While in Suzhou we went to the Humbel gardens and visited a silk making factory. the gardens were very special because not only was it picturesque but it was snowing while we visited. everyone had big smiles because of the snow falling . the silk factory explained the history of silk making and all the stages on how silk is made. We ate lunch in a mall and we were the only westerners there. Sunny ordered for us and we enjoyed the flavors of the region. Tongli was another experience by walking along the canals and crossing the 3 bridges.(which are to lengthen a person's life) we also saw diving birds used to catch fish just like the reading of many books about the area. Sunny and the driver did everything they could so we enjoy a memorable day before we left Shanghai
