Note: This tour is private, except for the swimming with wild dolphins portion.

Your private driver will pick you up at your hotel in the morning and take you to the southwest of the island. You will start your day with the experience of a lifetime, and one of the most popular activities in Mauritius, swimming with wild dolphins in their natural environment. After swimming with the dolphins, spend the afternoon relaxing on beaches in the North of the island, where some of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius can be found. You'll have the chance to explore up to 4 of these gems: Trou aux Biches Beach, Mon Choisy Beach, La Cuvette Beach (Grand Bay) and Pereybere Beach. After the excursion, your private driver will take you back to your hotel.

The dolphin portion of this outing is not recommended for pregnant women. All children under 12 years old should be accompanied.

In almost all cases (90%+) you will see the dolphins. However, if this is not the case, a second outing will be offered on the boat free of charge (transportation to and from your hotel are not included for the second outing). It’s important to note that there will be no refund once you have completed the activity.

This tour lasts up to eight hours, and you will be able to choose how long you spend at each attraction (except for the dolphin portion). Depending on your group’s speed you may not have time to see all the listed attractions. You will be able to stop for lunch but the price of the lunch is not included.

If you'd like to snorkel at the beaches in the afternoon, it's recommended that you bring snorkelling equipment.

What To Expect

Tamarin Bay

You will start your day with the experience of a lifetime, and one of the most popular activities in Mauritius: swimming with wild dolphins in their natural environment. Once you get on board the speedboat, the professional and qualified skippers will start by briefing you on the important aspects of this experience. You will then head to Tamarin Bay for your incredible dolphin encounter of about 2.5 hours. Get stunning, open sea views of these amazing creatures before going to the popular dive and snorkel site of the "Aquarium" (time permitting). There, you can marvel at the beautiful coral gardens and tropical fish

After the dolphin encounter, your private driver will take you to the North of the island, where some of the most beautiful beaches can be found. You'll have a chance to explore up to 4 of these gems. You will be able to choose how much time you spend at each beach. The entire tour, including swimming with the dolphins, lasts up to 8 hours. Located adjacent to the town of Trou aux Biches, this stunning beach offers great conditions for both swimming and snorkelling as it is blessed with calm water and gently shelving sands. There is an abundance of authentic street food stands, as well as a string of cafes next to the beach, so this is a great place to enjoy lunch if you're hungry (note that the price of lunch is not included).

Swimming with the dolphins and later fish was an amazing experience. Beach Hopping would have been a wonderful experience if the driving time in between is properly planned, 8hrs is not enough. As a result we only went to Tamarin and Mont Choisy Beach, beautiful ⛱️ .

For my part it is not swimming, but a stalk to dolphins, 10th boats arrive at the same time and surround these cetaceans ..which are in their natural environment, an accident has quickly happened......I prefer to look at them... that is only my opinion

Very nice and beautiful place based in tamarind baie.sometimes its crowded but very beautiful and nice view.The dolphins are in nature enjoying in the morning around 9am till 11am.sometimes we can see around 15 dolphins but sometimes they are in large group of 35 to 40.I will suggest people to do this in a private tour contact taximauritiustours.com I really enjoyed this trip with very helpful driver which offered an excellent service.

The 'swimming with wild dolphins' experience should not be advertised on this trip or even be in the title. What they fail to tell you in the 'what to expect' bit is that there is around 20 others boats in the sea doing the exact same excursion as you. It isn't as private as it's made out to be. It was absolute chaos on the boats. There's far to many out there doing the same thing and it spoils the experience as you don't really get to see much, as soon as the dolphins are spotted all the boats race to be the first one to the spot which then causes the dolphins to go under and swim away. It was like a giant game of hide and seek. We didn't get to swim with them like it's made out to be. The snorkelling is only for 15 minutes and again your surrounded by a lot of other boats. We booked this because it sounded like you was going to get an amazing private experience. The only bit that's private is the beach hopping. If it wasn't for the beach hopping this would have scored a 1 star.
