Hugo was an amazing tour guide and highly recommended! He was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about every place we went. The history he provided greatly enhanced our visit to multiple locations. (We took the Tomar, Batalha, Alcobaca, and Obidos - The Templar and Medieval Legacy tour.) Also, he was very flexible on needed date changes and pick-up and drop-off locations.

It was a beautiful day; we visited three monasteries with an important history, where we could appreciate all the artistic styles of Portugal, from Romanesque to Gothic to Manueline to Renaissance, and thanks to Hugo's great preparation we learned a lot about the most important events in the history of this great colonial power. We ended the visit with the Christmas market in Obidos and a giginha tasting. A big thank you to Hugo for his patience and friendliness

As mentioned in the tour description, Hugo brought us to see 4 UNESCO sites in one day. Each has its own unique history. We have two teen boys and the way Hugo telling the history got us engaged right away! For someone who's fan of The Game of Thrones, there were moments I felt time traveling back in those eras and being part of the story. My two teens said Hugo is the best tour guide ever! Hugo is very kind and considerate, we immediately felt like hanging out with a family friend instead of joining a tour with a stranger. Highly recommend this tour!

We did the shared tour. Had some questions before we left- Hugo answered promptly and very specifically to make sure every question was answered thoroughly - buy the Lisboa card for easy entrance (but Hugo will help with every entry). Transportation was comfortable and clean. Anyone who wants a personal tour experience with history should choose this tour- Hugo doesn’t just drop you off and give you a time for pick up. He thoroughly explains and customizes each site. He has interesting information about each site and can easily answer questions. Listen to his lunch picks - his recommendations were some of the best food we had in Portugal. We loved this tour so much we booked a second tour with him before we left (we lucked out with a weather cancellation). Hugo will leave you feeling like you understand the personal history of Portugal and with a new friend - not just a tour guide.

Me and my family loved the experience. We will repeat it again, no doubt. My daughter while doing this review, already asked when we would again 😀

Hugo turned what could have been a standard tour into a truly personal journey. He listened carefully to what we wanted, adjusted the itinerary when needed, and always made sure we were comfortable. His storytelling brought the histories of Tomar, Batalha, Alcobaça and Óbidos alive in vivid detail. Excellent guide, excellent experience.
