This was such a wonderful way to spend some time in Tashkent. Julia and her husband were so pleasant and friendly. I was picked up at my hotel on time and we drove to the ceramic studio. It was in a very nice e little shopping area where we had time to look around and enjoy before the class. The class itself was fun and the potter was very helpful and patient showing us how to make our designs. Afterwards we went and had plov in a large space that sat so many people. The lunch was delicious and the company was lovely. We finished with a walk through the Chorsu Market. I’d definitely recommend this experience to anyone and if I return to Tashkent, I’d do it again. 5 Star experience!

Fun afternoon with Yusuf who talked about Uzbekistan history and crafts. First time I attempted pottery making and it was a blast. Ended our afternoon with plov, homemade cherry juice, pickled veggies and deliciously hot out of the oven bread. Highly recommend!

Yusaf is a knowledgable and kind tour guide who listened to what I wanted to focus on. The potter is quite skilled and has created a technique to preserve Uzbek designs through carving pottery. Lynch was delicious and filled with historical and current Uzbek cultural discussion. I’d give this experience a 10+ if I could. Highly recommend for any travelers interested in Uzbek culture and art.

This was a great tour, very worth it! Yusuf, the tour operator, is the business owner and he really cares about making a good experience. He picked us from the hotel and drove us to the cultural center. There he gave us a very informative tour of different Uzbek style fabrics, prints, pottery styles, and the historic impacts of each. Then we went to the most beautiful pottery studio of a Master artist where we got to experience a lot of uzbek pottery. We really enjoyed making the pottery on the wheel, the artist was very helpful as well, and overall the vibes were very fun. Then Yusuf took us to lunch where he explained different Uzbek style foods and had us sample different things. Yusuf is very friendly and knowledgeable, we really enjoyed our day with him. This pottery masterclass is so much more than just making pottery, it was a great day, thankyou! Also as cherry on top, they actually dropped our glazed and fired pieces really fast to our hotel, packed for travel! We highly recommend doing this experience, very worth the price.

I had such a great time and learned so much from Yusuf on this tour. He is so knowledgable about Uzbek crafts and history, and also is very easy to talk to. I learned a lot about traditions of different ethnic groups around the country through their crafts, as well as the traditions of Uzbek households. I had never made pottery before but I am actually very proud of what I made. Highly recommend this tour!

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with Julia, she shared so much with us about life in Uzbekistan historically and today. It was our first time using a pottery wheel but the teacher was amazing and I love the vase I made! Fabulous food too - I'd thoroughly recommend this experience

It was like spending a beautiful afternoon with a local friend. I enjoyed every part of the experience: the local market and interesting things about Uzbek culture, the worshop and the food. A super nice experience that I highly reccomend!

My friends and I had an amazing time learning about textiles and ceramics on this tour and the different symbolism and motifs used. None of us had done pottery before, but the instructor provided guidance and help so we also successfully completed our pieces. The traditional lunch was also wonderful.
