Let your senses be pampered and discover the culinary gems of this vibrant neighborhood! The CuliWalk is available from Tuesday till Saturday and you can start between from 4.00 and 5.30 PM.
With the audio tour made by local architect 'Michael Newton' featuring over 20 points of interest, fascinating facts, and fun anecdotes, book the tour and let your taste buds lead the way!

Begin your journey at Plein Café Wilhelmina, your first stop in the Pietermaai District. Enjoy a delightful coffee or tea with a small pastry as you soak in the charming atmosphere. Here, you'll also pick up your stamp card to start your adventure.

This Walk will guide you through the colorful streets and with various stops along the way so you can not only listen to the stories from long ago but also enjoy the coffee, lemonade on the various stops.

As I strolled through the atmospheric streets, I tasted not only flavors, but also the soul of Pietermaai. A perfect combination of taste and cultural discovery — I would do it again in no time!

We each followed the tour in different languages (Dutch, Spanish, and English), and the app worked flawlessly across both iPhones and Androids. The GPS tracking was spot on, guiding us smoothly from one point to another while letting us explore at our own pace. What really made this tour special was how it brought Pietermaai’s rich history to life. From stunning colonial architecture to vibrant street art, every stop told a story. And the food—wow! Each tasting stop offered something unique, from authentic local bites to refreshing cocktails, making it a true feast for the senses. The best part? Whenever we stopped to eat or drink, the tour paused automatically, allowing us to soak in the experience without rushing. 4.00This was great fun! A relaxing and informative way to explore a district that’s only slightly off the beaten path. Beautiful homes, a bit of history, and some tasty treats. We got four drinks and six bites as well. Only thing to say negatively was that the audio tour didn’t mention when it was time to pause for one of the food stops; you just had to know. Some of the restaurant staff hadn’t seen the card before either, but it was pretty quick to sort out.
Recommended to discover Pietermaai without a group and enjoy at your own pace

5.00After the successful CuliWalk of Otrobanda we decided to do the CuliWalk of Pietermaai as well. Really recommended, very different again but super nice snacks and delicious cocktails. We did this on the Thursday so we could also pick up Punda Vibes. Pietermaai in particular is super cozy on Thursday
