What To Expect
Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland
One of New Zealand’s most colourful and active geothermal attractions. Lady Knox Geyser erupts daily at 10am shooting water up-to 20 metres high. Stunning natural colour bright green, orange, yellow and turquoise pools. One of the most photographed geothermal areas in New Zealand. Admission cost in not included. You have to buy it separately directly from Wai O Tapu website or on arrival. Thermal Park and Lady Knox Geyser’s: Adult $45 per person, Child $15 per person, Family pass 2 Adults and up to 3 Child $105
Experience 30 minutes of awesome Jet boating on the Waikato River and view the view the majestic Huka Falls from the base of the falls. Jet Boat Ride cost is not included. 5.00Took this tour and Sanjeev was very helpful in helping customize the tour to my liking. Mahendra was assigned as our driver for the day and we managed to fit in a lot of sites in 13 hours including Lake Rotorua, Waiotapu, Huka Falls, Lake Taupo, Wairakei Terraces and Blue Springs. He was easy to talk to and made the car ride there feel like a breeze. The van he drove was comfortable and spacious for 3 of us. He knew the area very well and we felt safe riding with him. I would definitely recommend them for tours around the north island as they charge a flat rate for a group of 4 or less and will save you money as opposed to an organized tour group with a per person rate. Plus the added bonus of working with the company to add and remove places on the itinerary and customizing it to your liking. Keep in mind though the North Island is very big so take into account the drive time when creating the itinerary as there's only so much you can fit in 13 hours.
