Teguise Market
Indulge yourself in Teguise market, the most charismatic and complete craft market of the Canary Islands. Every Sunday morning, the silence and tranquillity of its streets and squares give way to the hustle and bustle of many stalls and artisans taking part of the most popular street market in the Canary Islands. Here you’ll find handicrafts of all kinds, ceramics, basketwork, leather goods, etc., as well as natural and typical products, such as cheese, wine and others made with cactus and aloe. Many artists also sell their most diverse works here. Teguise market is an event that no visitor of Lanzarote should miss!
Isla de Graciosa
After the visit to the market, you’ll head up north of the island to Órzola where you’ll board a ferry to enjoy for 25 minutes the impressive panoramic views of the north coast of Lanzarote. Once in La Graciosa our guide will show you some secrets of Caleta del Sebo, such as the old church and the Aloe Vera Museum. At 2 pm you´ll be received with a glass of champagne meanwhile the lunch is served: salad, paella, fruit, soft drinks, wine, beer and water - all included! After lunch you can enjoy 2h of free time in the island to explore it on your own terms and relish its golden beaches, placid houses scattered across a sandy ochre canvas and the turquoise sea that caresses it. This island is for special and sensitive travellers, who know how to enjoy nature, silence, beauty and - why not - sunbathing in lonely beaches. La Graciosa is probably one of the few places in Europe where there are still no paved roads - the most unknown and peaceful spot of the Canary Islands. At 4.30 pm you will return aboard the ferry to Órzola where the bus will be waiting for you to transfer you back to your hotel.

The time allowed is sufficient. The staff was friendly. It was a nice day out, no issues with being a solo.

Our pick up was from playa blanca, we weren’t given the best options for pick up. So opted for near marina rubicon. Coach was a little later than notified, but not really an issue…..we then drove all the way back for a pick up near where we had a villa…annoying to say the least. The coach was lovely, as were the driver and host. Stopped in at teguise market. The market whilst advertised as craft market sold lots of generic mass made stuff that pops up everywhere. Real shame. The ferry ride bumpy on the way there! Water was really choppy. Not the company’s fault!!!! La Graciosa lovely and quiet. Spent a nice few hours chilling until we caught the ferry and coach back home. A long day. Enjoyable but nothing special.

We arrived 10 minutes early we were supposed to take the bus at 9:40 and it arrived at 10:15. So we started the market at 10:55 instead of 10:30. The meal on the boat, was average, however the island of graciosa is to be made. Luckily we had a good Cyril guide with a lot of humor.

Great communication with the tour operator to arrange pick up location; the market wasn’t a long drive away and we had around 1 3/4 hours which was plenty of time as it was very crowded. The ferry transfer to La Graciosa was smooth and orderly, we had a guided tour around the island which is very small then around 1 1/2 hours free time-lovely beach or you can relax with a drink in one of the cafes/restaurants or have an ice cream and watch people or the boats coming in & out. We had a lovely lunch of paella, bread and salad, there was plenty of drinks offered and the it was quickly served by friendly staff. At the end of the trip we had quite a long wait for the coach back to our meeting point but overall we had an enjoyable day out

We were told the wrong pick up location even rang the customer service contact who confirmed yes we were at the correct hotel. We then had a call 10 minutes later to say that the coach was waiting for us at a completely different location fortunately it was only a 5 minute walk and they waited. There seemed to be way to many pick up points really they should have planned a more central location to pick up. We were on the coach for 2 hours before we arrived at the market on a non air conditioned coach. Also there was only 1 option for lunch which was a seafood paella not vegan/vegetarian option a bit disappointing.

Teguise Market is held on Sundays in the historic Villa Teguise. About 25 minute drive from Puerto del Carmen, it opens at 9 am and closes at 2 pm. A mixture of genuine and fake copies on sale. Fast food at reasonable prices available.

Just to go to Teguise and visit the village is already worth it, but the flea market is an exhibition of the beach Top Blanket full of counterfeit marks. However, taking a walk through it is not bad.

Almost 2 hrs spent picking up from hotels all over the island before finally getting to Teguise. Only 90mins at market meant no time to explore old town. Drive to Orzola for ferry boat to La Graciosa nice lunch of salad paella and a banana with some drinks, served aboard a static ferry boat. Then left for 90 mins at leisure on island. Not enough time to take a jeep tour round, so could only stay by beach near ferry. Such a shame as would have liked time to see more. Ferry back then 2 more hrs dropping at all the hotels again. Next ttime we will take a bus or taxi to Teguise one day and do same for trip to La Graciosa another day allowing time to do the jeep tour. Don't bother with this tour.

By public transport from Puerto del Carmen to hotel Floresta to the market of Teguise. You are a long way along because there are several stops. The hotel proposes to book this excursion with them because there will no longer be room on public transport, so to speak. But this was not so and it saves a lot in price. The market takes place every Sunday from 9am to 2pm. And what a market! So big. Rarely seen such a big market. We were there around 11am and therefore we were not able to view all the stalls. So a tip: make sure you leave on time.

Horrible customer service. We arrived on Saturday, 4/19/25 and booked this experience for Sunday as the market is only open on Sundays and we are only here for a week. We had not been at the resort over 24 hours, so we were just getting acclimated with everything. I had to reach out to ask what time we should be out front of our hotel, H10 Rubicon Palace. They responded and let us know to be out front of the entrance at 805. We were at the entrance at 755 am and never saw any bus or driver come to the front entrance. After 30 minutes, I messaged and called and apparently, the bus driver went to the bus stop and didn't see anyone and left. How would a guest that is new to the island know where the bus stop even is. What was even more frustrating was that we have had 4 other excursions and every single bus driver has gotten out of the bus to make sure they found their guests for the excursion. We even witnessed other bus services come into the lobby looking for their guests. Knowing people are new to the island and on vacation, you need to do better. We missed out on this experience because this terrible customer service. Would tell everyone to stay clear of this company. They could care less and basically said there was nothing we could do. They didn't even suggest meeting the bus at another stop or anything. So disappointed that this is how our vacation started. The only good thing I suppose is that we were refunded our payment. However, it was not about the money. We wanted to experience the culture and the market with the locals.
