Do you know the taste of a fresh butter baked Danish pastry?
During this hands-on class, you will learn to bake Danish happiness (dansk hygge).
A professional pastry chef with many years of experience will guide you through all the different baking techniques and tips including kneading, rolling and folding the dough with butter.
We will make a selection of traditional and delicious Danish pastries (Wienerbrød).
The course will have a break with coffee/tea where you can try some of your Danish pastries and exchange your cultural/baking experiences.
You can bring the rest of them home to share with your family.
All the recipes will be sent by email.

5.00My partner and I went to the pastry class as our first morning in Copenhagen, and it set the bar for the rest of our week there! (Only thing we realized while leaving is that we didn't know the chef's name.) The location is doable with public transit and a bit of walking (we took the 31 bus), but the actual entrance is around on the other side of the street versus what the Apple or Google maps will tell you. For the morning, we made 4 different pastries and got hands on making them ourselves. They turned out deliciously, and we shared them with the other 6 members of our vacation group. (People were fighting over the poppy & sesame twists with marzipan.) We would go back when we're in Copenhagen again, because it looks like the pastries do shift and change throughout the year. My only callout is the chef talks quickly with directions, so listen carefully and ask questions as you are getting the pastries put together.

5.00Fabulous Danish pastry class. Chef Frederic Terrible was extremely generous with the dough, fillings and his immense knowledge. Each person made a dozen pastries which could be eaten and/ or boxed for carry. I’m not sure why this fabulous chef doesn’t have his own shop, but maybe he gets more joy and pleasure from teaching others. This class is not to be missed while you are in Copenhagen. My only recommendation would be to do this at the beginning of your stay in Copenhagen so you can enjoy the pastries before you have to leave.
