4.00Wonderful tour, we loved our guide and all the rich history we learned about while with her! 2 things to know: this tour takes place only in Otrabanda (one part of Willemstad). We ended up walking around by ourselves in the Punda side (which I would have loved to know more about but that is a separate tour!). Second: they ask you to be 15min early which we were, but then they ask you to wait until everyone in your group arrives. After 30min total of waiting, we were still the only ones and we urged our guide to start the tour. Unfortunate that we had to wait around.

5.00Had a great walk from Xiaomara! She says historical facts and conveys the Caribbean cosiness. The remembrance that takes place on New Year's Eve is colorfully told. She speaks the language of dancing and lets the walkers empathize with the sound that is there. I have a fresher take on Curaçao now. I still want to come back and hear her nickname.

5.00The trip through Otrobanda with Jaqueline. We had already walked around Otrobanda on our own and discovered spots. However, we were not so impressed by that. But something was itching to find out more about this place on the island. How much we enjoyed this beautiful tour! The guide is really passionate about the history of this piece of the island. And through her passion and knowledge, she has shown us places that we would otherwise never have discovered and should not have missed! Really highly recommended! But especially with her (or her colleague because he was also very enthusiastic about it) makes the trip just a bit more fun than a Dutch dude (who we also met) who has to convey this. In short, do because Otrobanda is worth getting to know!
