In this tour, you will have a great taste of Athens! During your private tour you will visit the sacred Rock of the Acropolis with the Parthenon, admire the remains of Zeus’s Temple, visit the modern Olympic, Panathenaic or “Kalimarmaro” stadium, and then pass through the National Gardens into the heart of the city. You will also see the Syntagma Square and witness the hourly change of the guards, in front of the Greek Parliament. During the tour you will also see the famous trilogy of neoclassical architecture, the National Library, the Academy of Arts and Sciences and the first University of Athens. Afterwards, we will head uptown to Kolonaki, where elite fashion and couture shops, meet with beautiful sidewalk cafes. Later we will go downtown to the vibrant fish and meat market, before we head to Monastiraki Square. Finally, if time and traffic permits, you will witness a breathtaking view of everything you’ve seen so far, from the highest point of the city, the Lycabettus Hill!

Drivers are very experienced, friendly and knowledgeable about the Greek history, mythology and our culture. Love to share their knowledge and they will provide you with a lot of useful information but they cannot come with you inside the archaeological sites. In Greece drivers are not permitted to offer guide services within such premises, only licensed guides can and it is an extra service.

Should you require the services of a professional guide, who is licensed to guide you within archaeological sites and/or Museums, this is an additional service.

What To Expect

Parthenon

The Athens Sightseeing usually starts at the Acropolis hill, with well known architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens that includes Erechtheion (female statues of the Caryatides or Maidens dedicated to goddess Athena and god Poseidon), the temple of Athena Nike and Propylaea. You will also have a great chance to foresee the monument (that puts an order in mind), which is the Parthenon. From the top of the Acropolis hill you can see, the Odeon of Herodus Atticus, the Theatre of Dionysus and the Areopagus (Mars Hill). Get ready for a memorable day! We are expecting you!

We had an incredible experience during our tour of Athens on December 29, 2024! Our guide, Markos, was not only knowledgeable but also friendly, making the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. He went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, engaged, and well-informed throughout the tour. His enthusiasm and passion for the history and culture of Athens truly made the experience special. The itinerary was well-organized, allowing us just the right amount of time at each stop. Markos patiently answered all of our questions and even shared some personal anecdotes that made the tour unique. We also greatly enjoyed the restaurant he recommended; the food was authentic and delicious. I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a memorable experience in Athens. In all our years of traveling, this tour stands out above the rest. Markos made it truly unforgettable! Thank you for such a wonderful time!

This is a Terrific way to see all of the main attractions in Athens. John was a fantastic tour guide, and his knowledge was very extensive for the area. We saw the changing of the guard which you is a must see, followed by the Acropolis. Then we had the most delicious lunch at a place that John recommended. it was one of the best meals that we had in Athens. I highly recommend John as a tour guide and this tour when you are in Athens, Greece.

My wife and I had a long layover between flights and decided to take Athens Layover Tour. We were lucky to have Dem as our driver and it was the best decision we made! Dem was absolutely fantastic – his kindness, knowledge and passion for the history of Greece and Athens were simply outstanding. Markos was a wealth of information about Greek mythology and Greek life. If I could give him 10 stars, I would. He explained history and then showed us a time lapse of what it could’ve been like and what it is today. It made it so more real when we went inside to see the different historic sites. Definitely a mistake do.

Our guide, Markos, was absolutely outstanding. We began our tour promptly with prepaid tickets for the Acropolis and Parthenon area. Markos provided chilled water throughout our tour with a bevy of information throughout the multiple destinations within Athens. After the final city stop of the Olympic Stadium, we left the city and headed out to the temple of Poseidon located on the beach @ a 1hour drive. After that stop, we proceeded to a local seafood restaurant where we enjoyed a Greek salad, extra crispy French fries, and a shrimp, tomato sauce, and feta cheese specialty. Our 7 hour trip with Markos was incredibly special and included a wonderful lesson on Greek influenced English words. I highly recommend this adventure to everyone. Pro-tip. Start early in the morning to beat the crowds!

Absolutely amazing tour. We saw all the sights in a comfortable, clean, safe air conditioned car. Our guide was so friendly and informative. Very well organized. Not rushed. He knew the best spots to go and paths to take. We had a wonderful lunch with his guidance as well. Highly recommend.

Our private tour was the highlight of our Athens stay. Makis was amazing! He was so pleasant to converse with and so knowledgeable of the city’s history and sites. Additionally it was fun to just spend time with a local and talk casually about where we were from and his favorite things about Greece. He even stopped to get us coffee from one of his favorite coffee shops! (Best coffee I’ve ever had!) We stopped by the Corinth canal. We toured the ruins. Then he brought us to a local bakery so we could try some authentic Greek Spanakopita – (Spinach and Feta Pie). We stopped at a beach for a nice swim and we enjoyed a local restaurant. We were in a very comfortable, clean Mercedes, he supplied cold water bottles after our warm stops/walks. This tour was phenomenal, interesting and well worth the money!

We did an Athen Day Tour of the city . Our driver Makis was exceptional ! We didn’t need a separate tour guide because while we were in the car , he had dvd of all the places that we would be stopping at so we got the history info, so when Makis dropped us off at the site we just had to go see it . Athens had a heat wave at the time and we couldn’t be more grateful to be dropped off at each site instead of walking in the heat . It was about an 8 hour tour day . Makis was amazing and so friendly and caring . Makis bought us pastries and had cold water for us throughout the day ! He stopped at his favorite coffee shop so we could get coffee and then even dropped us off at a mom and pop restaurant near our hotel so we could have a great meal . He’s very punctual too! It was a smooth and perfect day ! We booked an airport transfer to be picked up when we arrived in Athens and Makis was there waiting for us. I would absolutely book with this tour company again . They are professional, reliable and go above and beyond what is expected to make our vacation the best it could be !

My wife and I did the Half Day Private Tour for Athens. We had John as the driver and Natalia as the guide. Both did a wonderful job. Very informative, very friendly, and very conscious about time and schedule. The stops at various spots were seamless. Natalia was also very good about making sure that we took photos in front of all of the places we saw! John was also extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The car ( a very nice and clean Mercedes) was very comfortable. Overall an exceptional experience and one that is highly recommended! We also had John as a transfer and he picked us up from the Airport on the first day. Great guy, and a great driver!
