Our tours are fun and engaging. Being a family run business and locals ourselves, we know how to make our guests feel right at home.
Come and sample some of our award winning wines at three boutique vineyards, whilst soaking up the beautiful scenery along the way.
We specialise in small group tours, which allows us to drop you right at the vineyard entrances.
All tastings and lunch reservations are pre-booked, so no queuing, no disappointments when the vineyards are fully booked for walk-ins.

What To Expect
Our Best Cellar Wine Tour will take you on a journey where soil, climate and vines co-exist in perfect harmony. A perfect day trip for special celebrations, hanging out with friends or just a day to wine down. Our tour starts off with a scenic drive as you soak up the sights of our magical island, from galleries, shops, restaurants, vines and golden sand beaches. Your local tour guide will share stories about Waiheke, our discovery of wine and olives, our celebrities “world famous on Waiheke” of course and our little visitors (Godwits) who have chosen Waiheke as part of their international stop over. Includes visiting three boutique vineyards for wine tastings (10-15 wines tasted) Lunch stop at one of our vineyards or beach side restaurant (cost for lunch not included)

5.00Tour was amazing! Loved the more intimate smaller group setting. Dean was very knowledgeable about the area and how the wine industry has changed over the years on the island. Aries’ presentation at Casita Miro was like watching an actor performing in front of a big audience and it was only 6 of us. I would highly recommend The Wine Tasting Company for any one looking for a more personal approach to wine tasting. Ask for The BoutiqueExperience: Waiheke Island!

4.00Our tour guide Dean was great, very attentive and knowledgeable. He was waiting for us as we came out of the ferry and was with us the whole day. The two first wineries we visited were great ( Postal Stamp and Awaroa). They were small boutique wineries, that was what we were expecting, their wines were good and the hostesses very kind. Lunch was also great and in a most beautiful setting. The third and last winery we visited ( Cableway) left a lot to be desired. The location of the winery is great with the most beautiful view, but the service was horrible. They squeezed the 11 of us in a small corner and the hostess was in such a hurry that we didn’t have time even to see what wine she was pouring. I don’t recommend the visit to this winery in particular. Everything else was great.

5.00Dantastic day spent with our guide and chauffeur, Sam. He grew up and lives on Waiheke. (Also a wine aficionado.) Three great wineries visited and a 100+ minute lunch (not included in the fee). I most strongly recommend this tour.

5.00What a great day! Cami was awesome from start to finish. She told us about the Island and took us to some really excellent wineries starting with Postage Stamp and ending with a fun time with Jake at Mudbrick. We got to try some really excellent wines along the way and stopped for lunch at Stoney ridge winery. Also excellent. Even the weather was perfect after a slightly damp start in Auckland.

5.00We had the pleasure of being guided by Margot who was a wonderful tour guide. She was kind, knowledgeable and made the entire tour a fun experience for us. We were able to stop in the village briefly to explore before our first tasting and Margot provided fun and interesting facts about New Zealand, Auckland and Waiheke. She shared great information about the history and culture of the country throughout the tour and kept us engaged throughout. We had an amazing time and would love to return for another tour some day!
