The Eatery Pot Experience at the Pure Africa Waterfront spoils gourmands with a selection of traditional stews prepared in potjie pots and left to simmer to perfection, before being enjoyed al fresco on the banks of the river for dinner. The potjie dishes offered are Beef, Chicken and Vegetarian, each bringing their own distinct taste of wood-smoked Africa and served as part of a three-course meal with side dishes and followed by dessert. Dinner is enjoyed under the stars alongside the Zambezi River with your drink of choice available by order from our curated collection of Pure Africa wines, artisan spirits and craft beers, all on offer at our cash bar. Guaranteeing a distinctly African feast under the stars.

What To Expect
Host will welcome you to the Eatery Dining Experience. Enjoy the ambiance and scenery on the entire Pure Africa Waterfront on the shores of the Zambezi River. Gather around the fire-pit before following the lanterns to your table for dinner. Common in Southern Africa, potjies are 3 legged cast iron pots where selection of traditional stews are prepared on coals and left to simmer to perfection, before being enjoyed for dinner. Since potjies are prepared in advance , guests have to choose their choice of potjie from the 3 offers we have that is Beef, Chicken and Vegetarian with each potjie bringing its own distinct taste of wood-smoked Africa. All potjies are served as part of a three-course meal with side dishes and followed by dessert. A selection of beverages will be available to order from alcoholic to non alcoholic on cash account. After your dinner hosts will escort you to the car park to meet your driver.

5.00Lovely setting. Homemade bread was amazing. Beef potje was very good and non fatty and tender. Sides were tasty. Soup and chocolate bomb pudding were great. Only issue was I couldn't finish the wonderful meal, as I was so full (and I always finish my meals lol). Staff were sweet and attentive and there was traditional music played at low volume to add to the atmosphere. Fantastic evening.

5.00We arrived at the restaurant just after sunset, in time to quickly look at the stunning grounds beside the Zambezi River before dark. The sunset cruise docked in front of us. We enjoyed a delicious dinner which included soup for the entree and really good panna cotta for dessert along with the Potjie pot with accompaniment dishes. A very generous dinner which we could not finish. The beef Potjie and chicken Potjie both very tasty. We would definitely recommend this experience if you are in Victoria Falls and have a night free! Take some insect repellent as being close to the river, you will need it! We saw 3 elephants 🐘 walk right into the grounds in front of us before we left 😊
