On this journey you will experience a spectacular landscape, starting with Þingvellir our National park where the plate tectonic activity is visible, as well as walking through Almannagjá where the ground has subsided about 70m. From Þingvellir we will see the famous Gullfoss(Golden waterfall) one of the most powerful waterfall in Europe and perhaps see a rainbow. From there we head to Geysir area and fell the power beneath our feed. On our way back we stop at Friðheimar where they grow tomatoes under artificial light all year around. At last we relax at the Secret Lagon be for heading back.

What To Expect
Pingvellir National Park
Here you do not only get to stand on the ground where the oldest legislative parliament was established in the world at 930 because this is also the best place in the world to study divergent plate boundry. The landscape is breathtaking and the history is no less interesting.
Geysir
The famous Geysir that all hot springs in the world are named after does not spout anymore. It did in the year 2000 due to earthquakes and then again 2016. The whole area is boiling and steaming from geothermal activity so make sure you follow the restricting walking trails. How ever Strokkur is the new Geysir and it spouts every 4-10 min and is quite impressive.

Our tour guide Sunny was excellent and gave us a fantastic insight into so many aspects of Iceland’s history, geology and so much more. Her enthusiasm and obvious love of her country made the experience a highlight of our short stay in Reykavik. Our thanks to Sunny and Wierslaw our driver and highly recommend this trip.
