  • My Son's Favorite Museum in the Entire World (and he goes to countless museums!)

The Little Museum of Dublin has been my son's favorite museum in the entire world for about 10 years now. He's been through 4-5 times. This visit was no different! He immediately noticed the upgrades and improvements recently made to the displays (and gave a thumbs up!). He had new questions and new opinions to discuss with his guide and was more than satistfied with what he learned and new insights gained. MEANING that the guides were not just reciting a script... they were able to go (way) off script in order to answer my son's questions and were very capable in answering and further explaining. This is a sign of a marvelous tour guide. MEANWHILE, I sat in the gift shop area waiting for him (for more than half an hour) to come out of his tour. I spent the majority of that time chatting with Fionn. What a charming, chatty, kind and thoroughly interested and interesting person he is. We spoke of my dual nationality (as related to his thesis at university on the subject), my life experiences between America and Ireland, being a first generation American, etc. We spoke of his own close experience with dual nationality an d how that shows up in life's experiences. Anyway... altogether a superb experience... and I know... we'll be back again! Happy New Year to all! Aoife

  • Don't miss Evan's guided tour!

Evan, our guide, was superb: balancing just the right amount of historical accuracy with a wry wit and a muted theatrical style of delivery which kept us both informed and highly amused. We made the decision to do this tour on a whim and boy, were we glad we did. We were one adult, 2 young teens and a boy of 7 years of age, and all 4 of us were engaged and enthralled by Evan's tour. Highly recommended. Good value for money. Our visit took about 50 minutes and the group size was perfect: around 22 people.

I'm from Dublin but had never been to this museum before. It was brilliant, such a trip down memory lane for myself and my parents. All of the memorabilia on show are in such great condition and all tell a story. The highlight though was our tour guide, Emma. I genuinely have never been on a tour with such a great guide before. She was so enthusiastic and passionate about what she was saying. She had great audience participation and kept everyone engaged with her stories and jokes. Truly she was one of a kind!

  • Surprising and funny tour through Dublin's history

This was a very surprising tour which kept us engaged until the last second! It almost felt like attending a theater show. Saul was an excellent tour guide with great comedic timing. If you like puns, you're in the right place. You can only visit the museum as part of the guided tours, which happen very frequently throughout the day. The museum itself consists of all types of Dublin memorabelia which the museum received from different city inhabitants. All of it is beautifully styled with room for a cheeky joke here and there. And lastly, you actually learn quite a lot about Dublin's history while you're enjoying the show. We absolutely recommend the Little Museum!

  • Football Walking Tour - An absolute Worldy of a Walking Tour

Last weekend I did the Football walking tour. Before I give my glowing review, I want to thank Aodhán, Gary and the Little Museum of Dublin for facilitating this. I would be someone who would have an interest in Irish Football History, so once I read about this tour, I booked my ticket travelled up from Limerick to join in on the walk. It was absolutely 100% worth it. My knowledge before going in was good but it was great after completing the walk. Aodhán and Gary bestowed their knowledge to us clearly where I came away fascinated about the pieces of information I learned, itching to share it with friends and family. I am an Ireland Season Ticket holder and on matchday I walk from O'Connell Street to Lansdowne Road. The route I take is a very similar route to the route we took on the tour, it feels so special that now I know the spots and stories and places of interest on the way. The two lads were great fun too, happy to converse with all attendees, the jokes and banter was also great, with plenty of laughs to be had. There were between 20-30 people present and everyone was really friendly, no rivalries between the Bohs Rovers fans, myself included in that. The artefacts the guys produced on the walk was also a real treat, something I never expected. The walk was also a great way of getting the steps in, it took around 2 hours and that was perfect, it felt like I got great value for money considering the admission fee and the experience. I think this is a great tour for any football fan. I would happily do it again and pay more to do so, I have been telling my friends and family about the experience. Quite happy to spread the word so other people may pick up a ticket and get involved. Thanks again to Aodhán and Gary, I really can't rate this experience highly enough.

We did the football walking tour with Aodhan and Gary. On a bitterly cold January day we were warmed with stories of how football in Dublin and Ireland developed against all odds and they touched on some of the places events and key people mixed with a good dose of humour along the way. Really good value and thoroughly enjoyed our tour!
