This tour was both educational and funny - exactly what Daniel is going for, I suspect!! It was a great way to start our week in Scotland and get a bit of an introduction to whisky! Highly recommend for people that want to relax, laugh and learn a little in the process. We would definitely do this again. Thank you!!

Daniel was outstanding. Fun, knowledgeable and I learned important things. I now the correct way to pronounce “ bowl bag”. I intend to use this descriptive liberally. As a New Yorker,,I’m always excited to add vocabulary that i can shout at cabbies. If you are concerned, he will temper it to his audience but I have always been a problem child. Make reservations because he is more popular than a cheeseburger during lent.

Total thumbs up for Daniel. While our afternoon 3:15 tasting was small, it made it very enjoyable. I was not sure what to expect really. A Comedy Whisky Tasting? My wife who is not a drinker of Scotch came along and she said it was a highlight in our visit to Edinburgh. We didn't have time to spend all day visiting the Highlands or going to some distilleries. Daniel grew up as a wee lad in the Highlands and knows his scotch just as much (if not more) than the folks at the Distilleries. He had 4 different types of scotch to sample from 4 out of the 5 official scotch Whiskey regions. Daniel was not only informative he had a pretty good comedy routine as well. With a larger audience on a Saturday night it would be a hoot I would imagine. Anyway, thanks for the laughter and great 90 minutes of tasting some good scotch.

Is there an option for more than 5 stars? Funny, educational and just damn good fun. If you’re in Edinburgh and looking for a whisky tasting don’t book a boring one and have an hour and a half of laughs and good times. Even had a whisky downstairs to celebrate 😅

We had so much fun with Daniel during this whisky tasting. He was quite knowledgeable about how Scotch whisky is made, the various types, and the regions they come from. Daniel's jokes were hilarious, and I have to say this was one of my favorite events we booked during our stay in Edinburgh.

Daniel was brilliantly funny and made scotch tasting educational, entertaining, and relatable. He (and the Bonny Prince) are the best and I recommend both the scotch tasting and walking tour to anyone!

Daniel was fantastic. Engaging, whip-smart, topical and friendly. He weaves history and science with humor and excellent advice for Scotch tasting methods. I’m fairly knowledgeable, but learned a lot. Well worth the time.
