Starting off in the Östermalm area, popularised by the rich and the famous, we introduce you to the traditions of Swedish food. From richly flavoured and exquisite cheeses to game meat. On top of that beer that is crowned “The Gold of The North”. You get a red-carpet like infusion into the world of Swedish delights at the high end Östermalms Market Hall. Heading towards the heart of the city we will let you indulge in a traditional Swedish lunch. Along the way we will also introduce you to the crown jewel of our proud Nordic kitchen; the meatball! You will learn what types of potatoes to serve with it, why we have specific jams for it and other fun facts. Moving on we will guide you through the beautiful Kings Garden. We will pass the the area that Vogue Magazine voted the “third coolest district in the world”. The tour will end in Old Town, an area that dates back to the 13th century and consists of medieval alleyways and architecture. Here we will treat you with some traditional candy and sweets.

Arriving at the meeting place I didn't know what I was looking for, I asked around the staff and they didn't know where to be either. Eventually a smartly dressed man walked up to me and said he was the tour guide. If you can't find the guide, find the man (or maybe woman) who is smartly dressed near the leg statue. I was the only one for the tour that day and experienced a good private experience. Lots of history and facts about the city, the country and the food. Unique snacks that you might not normally eat in other countries, but definitely worth it! For me it was sufficient food and a very good experience!

Fantastic food choices, ample amount of food for everyone, variety of foods were amazing. I would add another dessert choice.

They canceled on me short notice without notifying Viator, so I had to initiate a refund myself. Very disappointing!

Cotton was very well informed! Have a fantastic history of the food along with many other aspects of Nordic culture. This tour was one of our favorite parts of Stockholm. Would highly recommend taking this tour if you have the opportunity.

Theresa was a knowledgeable and friendly guide who took time to share lots of stories along the route. We tasted a wide range of foods and the two sit down tastings were a real treat!

An enjoyable tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. Nice variety of foods. On the downside, the rendezvous point was confusing - I arrived ten minutes early and found the Beirut cafe upstairs at the food Hall as per Google maps, but it was closed and they told me to go downstairs. There was another Beirut cafe downstairs and they told me to go upstairs! I just hung around downstairs feeling mucked around and the guide turned up at the appointed time. Also, when I booked the tour I advised I hate the smell and taste of seafood and received confirmation they would avoid this. Unfortunately this did not appear to be passed on to the guide and a fish pie was on the menu for me. Fortunately this was changed at the last minute but it was disappointing. I don't regret doing the tour as overall itt was enjoyable, but the two frustrations were significant to me.

Great experience! I have learnt so much not only food but delicious places that will definitely come back for meals. Teresa was informative, she went above and beyond with recommendations. She introduce and explain each dish in details with history and how it tastes. Overall it was an amazing time with amazing food. I highly recommend the tour.

Absolutely recommend this tour. Even as a Norwegian I learned a lot about swedish food, history and culture. Good value for the money, and a nice way to spend your day in Stockholm.

We were four hungry people in total in our group. Tour took about 4 hours. Theresa guided us very well. We've learned a bit of the Stockholm history, places worth visit, and most importantly the customs around food in Sweden! Tour started innocently with some cheese and meat chopsticks but gradually dishes were better and better.
