Museum and Crypt of Capuchins Friars
Your first destination is the Capuchin Crypt. Capuchin monks used the bones of nearly 4,000 of their brothers to decorate this somber space in intricate floor-to-ceiling designs, lending it the macabre nickname of ‘the Bone Chapel’. Here you will be free to explore hearing all the interesting details and the reasons behind such an unusual practice with your audio guide. Open your eyes to the city’s hidden side – and you’ll never see Rome the same way again.
Catacombe Di Domitilla
Your expert historian guide will explain how this network of sacred tunnels is associated with the first Christians in ancient Rome. You’ll descend into the labyrinthian corridors carved into the soft volcanic rock and discover the frescoes, strange iconography and burial places which doubled as places of worship when the Christians were persecuted.

5.00I was a little skeptical about this tour at first, but what a wonderful surprise! We visited the Catacombs of Rome, the Capuchin Crypt, and the Basilica of San Martino ai Monti, and each place was unique, meaningful, and full of history. Paula was absolutely amazing. She was very knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. She explained everything with care and made the experience easy to follow, even with so much history and symbolism involved. This tour was much better than I expected, and I highly recommend it — especially with Paula as your guide!

5.00Excellent tour with Emiliano. He shared a lot of great information about the crypts and catacombs that I didn’t know before we went! We had to take several driving detours due to demonstrations, so we didn’t make it to the Basilica, but we still had an amazing time! I would highly recommend.

5.00Cat was a great tour guide and very knowledgeable about the church and catacombs. She was one of the best tour guides we have had. The catacombs was a must see experience for any Christian. It shows the early church and how they had to hide their faith. Very beautiful and inspiring. Jesus is our Lord and Savior.
