Museum and Crypt of Capuchins Friars
Your first destination is the Capuchin Crypt. Capuchin monks used the bones of nearly 4,000 of their brothers to decorate this somber space in intricate floor-to-ceiling designs, lending it the macabre nickname of ‘the Bone Chapel’. Here you will be free to explore hearing all the interesting details and the reasons behind such an unusual practice with your audio guide. Open your eyes to the city’s hidden side – and you’ll never see Rome the same way again.
Catacombe Di Domitilla
Your expert historian guide will explain how this network of sacred tunnels is associated with the first Christians in ancient Rome. You’ll descend into the labyrinthian corridors carved into the soft volcanic rock and discover the frescoes, strange iconography and burial places which doubled as places of worship when the Christians were persecuted.

Barbara , our tour guide was excellent and full of information. It was over 3 hours of packed history. Teens will love this tour!!! The extent that our forefathers went to to protect the dead and the living is incredible. Mike's and Mike's of layered underground tombs. The crypts are a testament to a message that life is precious and we should live every minute. A moving experience and very appreciated.

The tour was great! Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. The only down side was that the tour didn’t end where it began. It ended quite far from our hotel.

Had an excellent afternoon seeing some unusual and out of the way sights. The tour guide Alessandra communicated very clearly in English and was quite knowledgeable about the history of each location. While group size is on the larger side the cost for the afternoon is very competitive considering busses and tickets are required. The tours three locations are very interesting and well chosen. I have some friends visiting Rome and will recommend this tour for them aswell as others. A hidden gem is a city packed with things to do. Lucky to have done it while locations were not busy. If you want a day away from the crowds this is a good choice. Length 3.5-4 hours

We booked this trip spontaneously. Alain Piredda was our guide. Thanks to him, we have received an incredibly exciting, informative journey into the history of Rome. An incredibly talented guidebook that takes you back to the ancient and also to the present day and makes you reflect. Thank you Alain, you carried 50 and 20 year olds with your passion and gave new inputs. Thanks to you, Rome has been given a new facet, ....
