Museum and Crypt of Capuchins Friars
Your first destination is the Capuchin Crypt. Capuchin monks used the bones of nearly 4,000 of their brothers to decorate this somber space in intricate floor-to-ceiling designs, lending it the macabre nickname of ‘the Bone Chapel’. Here you will be free to explore hearing all the interesting details and the reasons behind such an unusual practice with your audio guide. Open your eyes to the city’s hidden side – and you’ll never see Rome the same way again.
Catacombe Di Domitilla
Your expert historian guide will explain how this network of sacred tunnels is associated with the first Christians in ancient Rome. You’ll descend into the labyrinthian corridors carved into the soft volcanic rock and discover the frescoes, strange iconography and burial places which doubled as places of worship when the Christians were persecuted.

Sabina was very knowledgeable, I had the feeling that she could have spoken on topic for far longer than the three hours she was our guide. And always kept things interesting and fun. Highly recommend.

Maria was most welcoming and thoughtful as it was raining, so Maria gave most of the talk on the bus to the catacombs grom the crypt, which saved us from the rain. The capucin crypt was remarkable, and Maria gave us in depth knowledge as to why the crypt exists. The church above has a lovely audio guide, and a Caravaggio painting plus many other very interesting artifacts. Sister Rita at the catacombs of Priscilla was most informative and gave us all illuminating insight regarding the catacombs.

Really cool experience. Lots of great history and the guide was great. We preferred the catacomb to the crypt, but it was a really cool experience.

This tour was a large group and not as good as a smaller group. The Crypts was great, but also weird feeling as you were looking at dead monks and their bones. The Catacombs were really interesting, but we could only here our guide half the time. We were single file lines in there and so we couldn't hear everything.

The tour was very insightful. You get a good background as to why the catacombs were created and extra history linked to it. Sylvie did a great job and was very insightful!

Maria did an amazing job of getting us to each location and providing information along the way. Since both locations as sacred, the tours in the spaces were conducted by the location. The history and information learned is unforgettable. The emotional impact it has to deeply understand if life changing. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone.
