Begin your day with a comfortable hotel pick-up between 7:00–7:30 AM and enjoy a scenic drive through the northern countryside of Chiang Mai. We pause at a hand-picked local café for a cup of coffee and light bites before continuing to the iconic Sticky Waterfalls. Spend around 1.5 hours exploring the unique limestone cascades, where you can safely walk and climb along flowing mineral water with guidance and plenty of time for photos. After changing into dry clothes, visit the nearby Sacred Spring and Spirit House to learn about local beliefs and traditions. Continue with a short drive and gentle hike to Bua Tong Cave, surrounded by peaceful forest scenery. We did the Sticky Waterfalls tour with Annie and it was easily one of the highlights of our time in Chiang Mai. The waterfalls themselves are incredible — actually climbing up a waterfall is as fun as it sounds — but what really set the tour apart was Annie. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and explains the geology, local beliefs, and history of the area in a way that’s interesting without feeling like a lecture. You can tell she really knows the place and cares about sharing it properly. The day was well paced, not rushed, and felt very personal. We went early, beat the crowds, had plenty of time to explore, and the food and logistics were all taken care of. If you want more than just a quick photo stop and actually want to understand what you’re seeing, this tour is 100% worth it.
