The Reykjavik CatWalk
Join Your Friend in Reykjavik for a Cattastic Walking tour of downtown Reykjavik.
This is a City Walking Tour with a firm focus on our feline companions.
We will follow in the Paw Prints of cats since the settlement of Iceland.
.
Together we will explore the myths about Cats in Iceland and the world? We will even explore tails from Cat’s Hiss-story throughout the world.
Included in our tour is even a visit to the one and only Reykjavik Cat Coffeehouse to pet some cats while we sip on Coffee or Hot Cocoa and taste Icelandic pastry.
If we are fur-tunate enough and the Cat gods allow, there is the Paw-sibility that we catch a glimpse of the most famous Cats of downtown Reykjavik, Baktus, Jonsi, and Ofelia to name a few.
We will start up by the pillars at Ingólfur Square and our final destination is the Statue Garden of Einar Jonsson by Hallgrimskirkja Church.

Stefan Ivarsson leads a great cat tour, very informative about the cats and more. Not all the cats came out to play, but now we know where to find them. Cat cafe was great. Would do the tour again, thank you.

This might've been our favorite tour we did while in Iceland. It was great to get some local insight from Inga and see parts of Reykjavik we otherwise might've missed. We especially enjoyed meeting all the local celebrity cats and Kattakaffihúsið was a super cozy cat cafe to take a break at, we even went back a few times. There were only 6 people in out tour group and it was great to be able to chat with them as well while walking around the city.

Bardi was a wonderful guide! He seems to know every cat in Reykjavik and adds a very personal touch to the tour. We were enthralled with his knowledge and had such a wonderful time with him. All of the shops know him well and we were welcomed in to each one with a smile and an invitation to get to know the “boss” at each location. If you are interested in cats, love cats, and want to hear more about the lore and a little bit about Iceland, definitely do this tour.

This was a fun tour around Reykjavik. It wasn't always a guarantee to meet some of the feline celebrities but we met Volvo, Baktus, Negull, and Ofelia! Plus we visited a cat cafe close to Rainbow Street. Bardi provided a lot of fun anecdotes and legends while taking us around the tour ending with meeting his cats. There were 5 of us on the tour and we walked around for about 2 hours-ish. Definitely recommend if you're a feline friend.
