Eilean Donan Castle
Our first stop is at the iconic Eilean Donan Castle. This castle is instantly recognisable the world-over as it has featured in many films and innumerable Scottish souvenirs! We will stop at our favourite vantage point here to enable you to take some photos and admire the majestic beauty of this iconic sight in its wonderful coastal location. Please note that there will NOT be an opportunity to visit the castle.
Portree
Upon arrival in Portree your guide will point you in the direction of the harbour viewpoint; from here you can admire the pretty pastel-coloured houses that the town is famous for. With its quirky shops, cute cafes, picturesque location and interesting sights you will certainly find plenty to occupy you during our 45 minute stop here. This will be your opportunity to purchase lunch from one of the town's bakeries or yummy takeaways.

Tim Was funny. Lots of wrenches thrown in our day with road closures and he just went with the flow. Still saw everything and had a great experience in Skye

Andrew was an exceptional guide! He was very knowledgeable and his story telling made the long drive involved in getting to and from Skye pass very quickly. Skye was so beautiful and my highlight was the walk to the Fairy pools. Lots of brief stops to see the other sights- I would have liked to stop and explore a bit more, but there were a lot of sights packed it. If you only have 1 day to see Skye from Inverness, this is a great way to do it!!!

The tour was wonderful. We saw exactly what was noted on the itinerary PLUS more. All together, we spent 13 hours touring. Our guide, Murdoch, was excellent. He was extremely knowledgeable about all of the sites and Scottish history and folklore as well. We learned so much more than we were anticipating. We would highly recommend this tour company and Murdoch, specifically.

Mr. Fabulous is an incredible story teller. He brings history to life with each passing mile you drive. He is constantly telling stories, history, Fairy tail and folk tails. He brings a personal touch by speaking about himself and his family's history in scotland. The stories are rich with historical facts, names and dates and Mirdok has an answer for any questions you may have. The bus was nice and clean and new. Would definitely recommend if you had 1 day in highlands like my self and want to see as much and possible before going home. The fairy pools where my favorite part and there was plenty of time to fully enjoy the experience.

I came to Scotland just to visit the Isle of Skye so my expectations were high, but even so, this tour exceeded them. The itinerary was comprehensive but well-balanced, the company communicated clearly and well beforehand, the bus was comfortable and the driver (Murdoch) was superb. Murdoch described himself as a driver, guide and storyteller and while he did all three very well, it was clear that the tales of Scottish and local history were his passion. At the end of a long but very enjoyable day, Murdoch treated us to the story of his disaster-ridden first date. Happily, both parties survived the experience and a bus-load of strangers got to enjoy the re-telling of what must be one of the worst (but funniest) 'first date' stories ever!
