Me and my daughter (11) had an amazing day. From my various guided hike experiences, I can definitely say this would be the best ever! We had enough time to explore every stop. Our guide Mr. Jamie is full of knowledge in Scotland's history so even the road trip was so much fun and knowledgable (I've learnt so much!). The main reason I booked this hike trip was to hike to the caves but unfortunately my daughter was so tired at that point that we had to call it off half way there and go back. Mr. Jamie was so helpful and kind in every way possible. He got us yummy snacks and found a vegan one for my daughter who has a dairy allergy. He even took us to a restaurant instead of the pie shop so she could have a good dairy free meal. I myself was dying to try the pies and managed to get one "to go" after our meal (thank you so much Mr. Jamie🥹🥹🥹) the pie was amazing! The last thing I would like to add is no matter how amazing your hike/adventure/ trip is, if the guide is not willing to be their for the people he/she is guiding, the entire event would be a waste of time..... Thanks from the heart Mr. Jamie for everything and I hope will meet for more guided adventures in the near future😃

My wife and I had a very enjoyable day with Jamie exploring the Scottish Northern Highlands. Jamie is a native Highlander, and he provided us with a comprehensive history of the Highlands, going back centuries. The locations that we visited were all beautiful and interesting, all while being driven in a luxury Mercedes SUV. The Scottish Pie lunch was delicious and great fun.

Secret Highland Tours made our Scotland vacation again! Jamie went out of his way at every turn as he was fun, informative, and kind. We had such fun with Jamie on several days tours and most recently our 3 day tour and 1/2 day tour. We enjoy Inverness as our base as Catherine and I enjoy learning about the Scottish history and enjoy a tour guide that will take us on amazing hikes with stunning views. We enjoy Jamie's flexibility while on tour, no set schedule or timeline and able to change on the fly if weather does not cooperate. This is why Jamie and Secret Highland Tours will continue to be out tour guide when we are in Inverness. We also recommend a private tour with Jamie if you are not familiar with the single track roads as if Catherine and I were driving one would have to focus on the road and the other assisting with navigating which would make it difficult to focus on the beautiful scenery Scotland has to offer. From the outset of planning and booking, Jamie was quick with responding to emails and answering questions for our most recent 3 day tour. When our tour date came Jamie was prompt; arriving at our rental in a pristine van, very comfortable seats, and full of water and snacks for our adventure. Catherine and I highly recommend Secret Highland Tours and please reach out to Jamie as he can customize your day tour or multi day tour. Looking forward to our next tour with Jamie and Secret Highland Tours to Lewis and Harris and a whisky day tour. Thanks Jamie for making our recent trip a blast and full of memories. Not easy to pick out a highlight as we enjoyed every moment of the trip. Okay Handa Island will be a memory.... Scott and Catherine.

This tour far exceeded my expectations! My guide, Jamie, is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about Scottish culture and history. Thanks to him, I not only got to enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the Highlands but also received a fascinating crash course on Scotland’s past. Jamie is warm, approachable, and so easy to talk to—it felt more like meeting an old friend than being guided by a tour leader. I especially appreciate the fantastic solo hiking tips he shared for Inverness, which I’m truly grateful for. I can’t recommend this tour highly enough! It takes you to unique, off-the-beaten-path locations and allows you to fully immerse yourself in Scotland’s stunning scenery.

We chose a private Untamed North West Tour with Jamie and had a spectacular day despite some initial bad luck. On the morning of, the van's windshield was cracked by a rock and Jamie could not take us--BUT--he really hustled and used his network to line up a colleague to follow the itinerary that had been so thoughtfully prepared. We were in awe of the Corrieshloch Gorge waterfalls and the Knockan Crag, which is almost indescribably beautiful. We also had a nice lunch in a fishing village, Ullapool. Quite by chance, it rained during lunch but the rest of the day was a mystical blend of fog and sun. We really appreciate the work Jamie did to rescue our main day to hike in the Highlands. Bad luck happens to everyone--it's how a person handles it that matters. Highly recommend!!

This tour was absolutely the highlight of my 2-week trip to Scotland. The moment I booked it, I knew I would be in for a unique experience! Not too many tourists get up to the northwest highlands, which is a shame since it’s such a beautiful place! I knew I would score extra nerd points for getting to visit the birthplace of plate tectonics! At the beginning of the day, the weather was looking kinda iffy, so Jaime came armed with a Plan B, but I chose to stay with Plan A and the weather gods smiled on us. Jaime was an excellent guide, super knowledgeable about the area and full of interesting tidbits. He’s a very safe driver and made me feel at ease during the whole tour. The sites you visit are spectacular, and I loved that I got to hike around the area instead of just riding around in a car all day. Oh! And the pies you get from Lochinver really are delicious! I highly recommend booking a tour with Jaime as you’ll get to have a truly unique and memorable experience.

We had hoped to do the "Untamed Northwest" tour, but the "untamed Scottish weather" meant that we'd see nothing but clouds. No worries! Jamie messaged us with multiple options & we spent a lovely day nearer Inverness learning more about the Picts & Scottish history. This was a highlight of our 12-day Scottish trip & we'll definitely book again on our next visit.
