Tour leader was not engaging. No q&a and at each of the food places after we were served he would head off and be on his phone or talking to his buddies at the restaurant until he surfaced and said time to go. He clearly had no interest engaging with the participants any more than he had to. He got the job done but expected better.

Really interesting fun tour. John is a great guide. Loved all the food stops and hearing the history behind each tasting. Highly recommend. A fantastic way to get a real taste of the Maltese culture.

Fabulous tour with Charlotte. Learned so much about Valletta and the local foods. visited a great selection of restaurants and stalls and used this information for later meals on the trip. Come hungry as the food offerings are substantial

Great day - BUSY, BUSY STREETS, guide was amazing! Knowledgeable, funny and interesting. Tried a pastry with peas, curry and onion (delicious) / tuna and other stuffing on amazing bread (and on an amazingly steep hill - surprised none of us went rolling down the hill / an extremely hot sweet pastry filled with dates (yummy but way too hot to eat) / ended the day at a funky restaurant with bread & condiments, pasta OR rabbit and 2 types of dessert. I had the pasta as I had had rabbit a few nights ago & it was very, very dry. This rabbit was very tender and came with lots of sauce - my loss! All washed down with beer and then coffee!

Marissa was a very engaging and informative guide and the food was an excellent and varied selection of sweet and savory. Cafe Jubilee was a highlight at the end. I accidentally booked another food tour for the day prior; the other tour was a little cheaper but I felt this one with Marissa was more worth the money. Highly recommended!

Very educational tour. The guide provided wealth of information both about the cuisine of Malta and about the history of Valletta. We get to try traditional dish and everyday Maltese snacks.

We booked a private early‑evening Food and Walking Tour for our group of 19 at the start of a stag do/bachelor weekend, and it was absolutely fantastic. Marisa was a brilliant guide — warm, knowledgeable, and great fun — and she really made the experience memorable for all of us. The food and drink were plentiful, the stops were well chosen, and we had plenty of laughs along the way. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Valletta.
