We recently completed the 8-day Lhasa-Everest Base Camp small group tour and had an incredible experience. Our group, was fortunate to get clear views of Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, and other peaks thanks to great weather! Be sure to get plenty of rest in the lead up to your trip and drink lots of water/electrolytes as the altitude at Everest Base Camp is no joke! Our tour guide, Pem, was kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and patient, making the experience as enjoyable as it was exciting. I’d highly recommend Pem as a guide for anyone looking to do this tour in the future.

From the temples in Lhasa, to the journey over to Everest Base Camp our guide Tenzin Gyaltsen took exceptional care of us and took great pleasure in sharing his culture and country with us. During the time at altitude a couple of our group suffered from altitude sickness, Tenzin went the extra mile to make sure they were provided with oxygen and taken care of. We would have no hesitation in recommending Tenzin to friends and family who come to visit this stunning country

  • Excellent service

Four of us joined this tour and the overall conclusion is that we are very satisfied with the services starting from the booking agent, Laura Tang, who was very responsive and helpful with our questions and changes. Our guide, Tseyang, to be honest, was not easy to warm up to initially. She seemed to be always in a rush. After warming up however, she was a different person, extremely helpful and making sure we got everything we wanted and hit every highlight we wanted to see/visit. If not for her smoothing the admin processes, we would have been lost many times and spent anxious time and caught in unnecessary delays. With her around, we don't have to worry about a single thing and just followed her and breeze through everything. That is most important for a trip like this to be enjoyable. At the monasteries we visited, she was very patient in explaining all the Buddhism beliefs and answering all our inquisitive questions, which we had plenty. I remember one particular incidence when we were at Qomolangma base camp. There was one particular picture i wanted to take. Tseyang went out of her way to find out where that particular spot is by asking around and brought us to the exact spot. This time, she stayed around and took tons of photos for us. We also requested to visit another monastery last minute and she obliged us to fulfill our request even though it was not on the itinerary. We must also add a word here for the young driver 唐福周 who was excellent. Courteous, always helpful with a smile. More importantly, driving on Tibetan country and mountainous roads need skills and experience. 唐师傅 has plenty. We never for a moment felt unsafe even on those 108 bends road leading to the base camp. Overall, we all agree that they deserve a 5 star rating.

We had a wonderful time! Very well organized and accommodations were top notch. Sangay was our driver and did an excellent job driving us safely through many winding roads. The drives were well paced with lots of stops in scenic stops. The schedule also allowed us to have enough time to rest and explore independently. Our guide was Samsara and he was also excellent. He took care of us and was a wealth of knowledge. Last, Mount Everest literally takes your breath away. Highly recommend doing this at least once in your lifetime!

  • An unforgettable Everest adventure with the best team!

I just completed the 8-day tour from Lhasa to Everest Base Camp with Tibet Vista and the experience has been spectacular. The agency has everything perfectly organized, from permits to small logistical details. The places chosen for the meals were ideal allowing the trip to pass without digestive setbacks. Although what really made this trip special was our guide, TinTin. His extensive knowledge of Tibetan history, culture and Buddhism allowed him to gain a better understanding of Tibet. He also gave the explanations speaking in English slowly so that it would be understandable by people who did not master oral English. Also in the visits, in addition to the explanations, he gave us directions of where to get the best photos. He gave us recommendations about health and seeing how we found ourselves with altitude. He also controlled the timing very well to comply with everything set out in the program. His patience in answering our thousand questions and his excellent sense of humor made the long hours of driving through the landscapes of Tibet much more enjoyable. Thanks to Tibet Vista and, above all, to our guide TinTin, who without him would not have been the same, for making this dream come true.
