Asakusa
Asakusa is a historic district in Tokyo, best known for Sensoji, the city’s oldest and most famous Buddhist temple. Blending tradition with modern energy, the area features Nakamise Shopping Street, where visitors can find local snacks and souvenirs, as well as Hanayashiki, Japan’s oldest amusement park. Asakusa also offers a glimpse into Tokyo’s past with its nostalgic streets, lively izakayas on Hoppy Street, and scenic views of the Sumida River, making it a must-visit destination for culture and history enthusiasts.
Tsukiji Fish Market
Tsukiji Fish Market, once the world’s largest seafood market, remains a must-visit destination for food lovers in Tokyo. While the inner wholesale market has relocated to Toyosu, the outer market still thrives with fresh seafood, sushi restaurants, and specialty shops selling everything from dried goods to kitchen tools. It’s the perfect place to experience Tokyo’s culinary culture and savor some of the freshest seafood in the city.

Hana was an amazing guide! She made our family feel so welcomed and comfortable along our tour. Hana was very knowledgeable in all of our stools and pointed out all the best places to enjoy the local cuisine/favourites. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get ahead of the crowds (early morning tour), learn all about the beautiful culture of Japan, and try some of the best food you will eat! She was amazing with our kids and we all had a blast!! Thank you Hana for some of the best memories on our trip!!!!

An all-around great experience! If you don't have a lot of time and want to see a variety of sights, this is the tour. Don't be discouraged by the early time. Getting to see the sights early without the crowds is definitely worth the early alarm.

Hana was an absolutely fabulous tour guide. She was incredibly knowledgeable and slowed the pace to save our feet and legs. Learned so much about Japanese culture and visited beautiful Asakusa, the Tsukiji Market, Meiji Shrine and Shibuya Crossing. A full day with lots of walking made easier with a great guide. Thanks Hana!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience touring Tokyo with Takumi. From start to finish, he was professional, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. His deep understanding of Tokyo’s history, culture, and traditions really brought each location to life in a way we never could have experienced on our own. He took the time to answer all of our questions thoughtfully and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. He navigated the city effortlessly and made sure everyone saw or found the spots they wanted to see and would never have discovered without him. The morning tour was definitely the move because everything was so calm and quiet. Takumi went above and beyond for us and it made for an awesome time. If you have the opportunity to take a tour with him, do it!

Tour guide: Hana was amazing. She had so much information to share, and she was so outgoing that we were able to learn so much about Japan andTokyo from her. She is very fun to talk to, very patient, flexible and really valued our experience. She actually stayed with us much longer than the reserved to our time even when we insisted she didn’t need to. Tour: You see so many different places on this tour so may be good complete at the very beginning of your trip so you can go back to each of these and explore them further on your own if you wanted. Definitely would recommend going back to the Asukasa area another day to see it when it is very lively and all the shops are open because there is a lot of cool places to buy fun souvenirs in the area. However, it was nice being able to get pictures of the temple without the place crowded. Price: honestly I think this is very worth the money given you see many popular sites and we learned in-depth things about each one of them becauseHana was prepared and made sure to talk about the importance and history of each place. Hana showed us great places in Tsukiji Fish market to try fun foods. This is another place. I would recommend going back to a different day after the tour to continue exploring, especially if you are a foodie. Tip: you will do a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Bring a tote bag with you to hold your garbage and also store souvenirs as you collect them along the way. Again – highly recommend. Our tour guide was exceptional and we got to see so many of the popular sites in Tokyo on this tour. “Don’t check the time- just enjoy your time” -Hana

Mio provided an excellent tour of the locations and made everyone feel welcome. I enjoyed the early morning tour as there is less people than during peak hours.

Fully comprehensive, and guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating, exceptional really. Could have stayed in Tsujiki all day as everything is pretty delicious. The temple tours were well done, as we received not only the history behind the landmarks but a bit of depth into the psyche of Japan. Overall awesome experience and definitely got more than I expected, truly great, especially for the history buffs

I highly recommend Tokyo Early Morning Tour Asakusa Meiji Shrine and Tsukiji Market. Our amazing guide Hana Tanaka took us on a very informative as well as personable 6 hour tour. We started at Senso-ji temple. Hana told us the history of the place, as well as the story behind the gate that was build by the CEO of Panasonic company. She was amazing in telling us all about the praying rituals and local traditions. She was so caring and attentive. When we washed our hands at the temples she would have a towel ready for us. All this 6 hours she was caring two (!) umbrellas and on the day of the tour in early morning she texted us with the weather update and recommendations on what to wear. Then we continued at Tsukiji market. She was very attentive to our personal interests as well as adding her own recommendations on food items to try. Grilled squid was amazing! We also visited other shrines, Shibuya scramble crossing, Hachiko statue. Overall Hana was an outstanding guide and we had the best time in Tokyo!

We had a very informative guide called Hana, who was bubbly and helpful, providing us with great recommendations for places to eat. During the Asakusa night tour, she also was able to give descriptive histories of all the locations on the tour which was very interesting.

Do NOT miss this tour. Our guide, Hana, was a very knowledgeable and charming young woman who provided us with a real insiders guide to Tokyo. She spent almost six hours with us at several stops, including the Senso-ji Temple; the Meiji Temple; the Tsukiji Fish Market; and the Shibuya Crossing. All along the way, she provided what she called "fun facts" which absolutely are unavailable in a guide book. She also included history, culture, and religious philosophy of Shintoism and Buddhism . Her English is flawless and her enthusiasm is palpable. I was so happy that she encouraged me to buy a goshuin book to collect temple stamps throughout our trip in Japan. It will be my favorite souvenir and I wouldn't have known about it without her. Based on our experience with her, we will be using Guide Me Japan in Kyoto.
