The imperial gardens were so serene and peaceful compared to the crazy busy streets of Tokyo just outside.

Standing on the castle ruins and imagining the original tower that burned down 350 years ago totally blew my mind.

The tour does not go into the Imperial Palace, so with that understanding you will not be let down. The tour goes into the garden area around the palace, its free entrance anyways. Our tour guide, Benjamin, was friendly and knowledgeable, he was patient and explained each of the notable areas well, it was a good tour.
