5.00We opted for the private pick from our hotel and met with our local tour guide, Peter in Tongli. Peter grew up in the area so he was very knowledgeable and an experienced tour guide. We went on a Wednesday so there wasn't much crowd, and we were able to spend a fair bit of time in the UNESCO Heritage Tuisi Garden. He also took us to a nice local place for lunch where we really enjoyed all the food he recommended. After lunch we had time to take a stroll along the canals for more photos and to explore the local shops. As our return journey to Shanghai was also by car, there was no rush for us to return a certain time so we had a really nice day overall.

5.00Hotel pickup on time and an excellent drive to the Water Village. Guide Liam was very informative and knowledgeable about the village itself and the surrounding area. Very good trip the boat ride was great. Would recommend to others.
