Taking the cable car from the city center all the way to the top was an incredible experience—especially with our mixed-age group. The journey itself is smooth and exciting, and the views just keep getting better with every stop. At the summit, the scenery is absolutely stunning and truly unforgettable. It’s a must-see and must-do when in Innsbruck. Pro tip: wait for clear skies to get the full impact of the breathtaking views!

Our trip to the Top of Innsbruck was an unforgettable experience, especially traveling as a group of 10 with a mix of ages, including older family members. What impressed us most right from the start was how incredibly easy and well-organized the entire journey is. You can begin right in the heart of the city and make your way all the way to the summit using a seamless series of cable cars. Everything is clearly marked, smooth, and accessible—no stress at all, even for those who may not be as mobile. It made the experience enjoyable for everyone in our group. As you ascend, the scenery transforms dramatically, and once you reach the top, you’re greeted with truly stunning, open panoramic views of the Alps. Standing at such a high altitude is a unique experience in itself—the air feels crisper, and the scale of the mountains around you is simply breathtaking. It’s a perfect combination of convenience and adventure. You get the thrill of reaching the high alpine environment without a strenuous hike, making it accessible for all generations. Highly recommended for families, groups, and anyone visiting Innsbruck—you get world-class views and a unique mountain experience with minimal effort.

Great views—but bundle up! It was cold (In mid-May)! Nice places to sit, get a snack or a meal, at some of the stops. We loved the hot chocolate!

I loved it (more than the Zugspitze). Incredible views, incredible ride up and down, and decent cafes along the way.

The cable car was inoperable die to a so my wife and I went on the funicular. Of course, before we weren’t going to the top, the discounted Welcome Card price wasn’t available. By the time the funicular rail journey had furnished, the cable car was working again. Another €35 each for this part of the journey. The views are great but when you can go to Bonzalo and go on a more scenic cable car with a welcome card, this attraction seems like a ripoff. The restaurant at the top wasn’t open when we arrived, which also wasn’t communicated. Overall, too expensive and I wouldn’t recommend. There are far better at other parts of the alps.

Dreadful. Over priced, (90 euros for 2 people return) and absolutely rammed with people. When you got to the top there was absolutely no space to enjoy the view or grab a drink. People were standing like a crowd at a football match. Obviously the view is beautiful but for a far nicer and relaxed experience take the bus and go early so you can take it all in with a coffee. Then walk down and avoid the hordes lining up to go back down

Simply, this must be on the list because the top view is breathtaking, and the pictures are dazzling. The trip doesn’t take a long time, the price is good, and the operating staff members are friendly and cooperative. Activities and seating are available at the top.

I love this app for many trips, but not this one. You don't need to book in advance and no one it there to give you a ticket the bar code is not accepted for the tickets. Just purchase in person when you arrive. The trip to the top is amazing!!

One stunning views after another. Several mountain activities available along the way. Enjoy food & drinks overlooking the valley and the Austrian Alps.

Highly recommend taking this trip, the views are spectacular. We had a blast using the free toboggans, a totally unexpected option, but also a must do!
