Excellent guide, very informative, very organized, friendly and highly recommended! The reserve provides a great view of animals and life cycle. All was done in spite of road closure, rain, etc! Well done!

Josue Luna was an amazing guide. He stayed with us on the private tour. Easy to hold a conversation with…his English is great. He studied English and then biology. We did not see as many animals as one would hope - but that depends on the day and season so is hit and miss. We saw a red poisonous dart frog, monkeys high in tall trees, various lizards and birds. The private boat ride with a water taxi driver was nice. The driver slowed and pulled over when something of interest was spotted - so we could take photos. The Caribbean traditional lunch was tasty.

We had an absolutely fabulous day with Luis - he loves what he does and it shows. We were able to see a great deal - even he was excited to see a river otter. The tour was perfect - but combined with his knowledge of the animals, it was truly fantastic.

We enjoyed the expert guidance of Alberto in orchestrating a memorable day exploring the varied wildlife-birds, monkeys, reptiles and sloths. The round trip boat excursion provided another perspective from the rainforest walk.

Amazing day out! Luis was fabulous , professional, knowledgeable & could answer all of our questions. He speaks fluent English and was very helpful on every topic and question we asked. It was a big day of driving but was very worth it . We saw a sloth, lots of crocodiles, iguanas, birds, spider & howler monkeys. The view at the lookout lovely although it was raining on and off it was still wonderful. The local restaurant lunch was delicious too! Highly recommend this tour.

Alberto provided us with one of the best tours we've ever been on. We drove through the countryside on the way over and he pointed out many features and landmarks to us. At the park we saw lots of birds and animals. Alberto didn't rush us, and pointed out many types of wildlife we'd have never noticed on our own. He even helped us get some great up close photos of them. After all of that, we went to a little restaurant with wonderful authentic Costa Rican food. Great tour with lots of nature. Highly recommend this interesting tour.

What a wonderful experience. Our guide Alberto was a wealth of knowledge about the birds and animals, and he had a keen eye for spotting them! We saw toucans, a type of hawk, a black stork, a sloth, a cayman, the elusive red frog, and other birds. The boat ride down the Tortuguera canal was delightful, thanks to Sebas, our boat driver. We enjoyed a forest walk and climbed at least 100 stairs to a lookout where we could see the Caribbean. We had a delicious lunch in the village of Tortuguera. After lunch, we boated back to the car for the ride home. Many thanks to Alberto and Sebas for a fun, informative time in spite of the afternoon rain, something you learn to expect in the tropics!
