Experience a taste of Jersey with a unique insight into Jersey's only working vineyard and distillery.
You’ll learn about the history of the estate, the different grape varieties grown on site, and the winemaking process. You'll go behind-the-scenes in the winery & sample some of the estate’s award-winning wines. From a crisp white to a summery rose and an award-winning red, there is something to suit every palate. During the tasting, a knowledgeable guide will talk you through the different wines, explaining the grape varieties used and the winemaking process.
You'll see the Alembic Charentais Cognac still where all of La Mare's spirits are crafted with a taste of Jersey Cream Liqueur in chocolate toasting cups
You'll also have the opportunity to try the estate’s homemade chocolate, fudge and Jersey Black Butter. Children are also welcome. Under 10s go free and older children receive an apple juice, activity pack and treat.

What To Expect
La Mare Wine Estate Jersey
Our Classic Guided Tour & Tasting Experience will give you behind the scenes access to our winery, distillery, chocolate kitchen and food production areas. Your experience will begin with a sample tasting of our Branchage cider & introduction to the history of the estate while enjoying the breathtaking views of our vineyards. Inside the winery you will have the opportunity to sample three of our wines and learn about the life of a Jersey vine throughout the year from grape to glass. In our bottling room enjoy a refreshing taste of our award-winning Branchage Prestige Sparkling Dry Méthode Traditionnelle Fine Cider. You will then visit our authentic working Cognac-Style Distillery where you will find out how we distill our unique Jersey Cream Liqueur and enjoy a tasting. You will see where we make our very own genuine Jersey fudge, biscuits and preserves, including our famous Jersey Black Butter and sample some traditional Jersey treats.

Delightful vineyard with wine tasting

5.00Visited La Mare Vineyard for our prebooked wine tasting. Travelled on the local bus from St Helier, easy journey. The vineyard and grounds are well kept. We were shown around by Helen who was very friendly, professional and knowledgable. The wine was lovely and it was interesting to learn its journey from vine to bottle, and of course very enjoyable. Also liked the additional “treats” such as the delicious Pomvie. Afterwards we had lunch in the cafe which overlooked the vineyards and was very peaceful. Would definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful wine estate.

5.00We really enjoyed our visit and tour at La Mare Vineyard, Andrew was the perfect host and was able to share his extensive knowledge. The wine tasting was fun with added treats of chocolate and fudge. Excellent value for money taking part in the tour and an afternoon well spent thank you.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Andrew was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the the vines etc. He answered all our questions. He is a very nice polite & friendly young man. A credit to the company. The tasters we had were very nice. We came away with quite a few items from the lovely shop. We would highly recommend this place.

5.00Thoroughly enjoyed our tour & tasting experience with Helen, who was very knowledgeable about the whole process. Tasted cider, 3 wines & a brandy cream liqueur, all excellent. Products in the shop were reasonanly priced too. Also enjoyed a cream tea at the cafe. Whole day was great value for money. Fitted in well with bus times, bus 7 drops/picks up a minutes walk away from the entrance.

5.00A big thank you to the entire team of the winery. We had a fantastic visit – our guide Andrew offered us an excellent tour of the winery. Thanks to his in-depth expertise, we received all the information, and the tasting was also excellent. We were a group of 12 friends and ended the tour with a glass of apple sparkling wine in the garden and a little shopping trip in the wonderful shop. I highly recommend the relishes and chutneys. Thanks again for a wonderful tour

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with “grumpy/Bob.. he was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the vineyard. We tasted three wines plus a sparkling apple cider and a very tasty brandy cream liquor. (This is far superior to any “Baileys” type drink. ) The only downside to the experience was that we couldn’t buy any wines/spirits as we were flying home with only cabin bags!

5.00Bob our guide, was very knowledgeable, hospitable and fun. He clearly knew his stuff, the wine was excellent, as was the cider and we will return for another tour when next we visit Jersey We also visited the shop in St. Helier and bought more wine there, where we also picked up some great advice on storage of wines. Thanks to both of you for being so friendle and making the experience well worth it. Credir also to the bus driver who dropped us as close as possible to the vineyard with clear directions. Thanks
