Our overall experience was great. We rode a canoe for the majority of the way then hiked about 5 mins to get to the beautiful waterfalls. Our local guides were really friendly and tried their hardest to make sure everyone was safe. We also spent time and had lunch in the Embera Village. A very unique experience. Our lunch was simple but very tasty 😋.

This tour was truly one of the highlights of my trip! Our guide, Cesar, was great and very knowledgeable. The journey to the waterfall was scenic and peaceful, and once we arrived, the view was absolutely breathtaking. Swimming in the cool, refreshing water was the perfect way to start the day. After the waterfall, we visited the Embera village, and it was such a meaningful cultural experience. The Embera people were warm, welcoming, and shared their traditions, music, and art with us in such an authentic way. Lunch was delicious—freshly prepared and full of local flavor. Everything was well-organized and ran smoothly from start to finish. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a mix of adventure, nature, and cultural connection!

Visiting the Embera village and hiking to the waterfall was, hands down, my absolute favorite excursion in Panama. My 9-year-old daughter, who usually prefers the beach and isn't very adventurous, declared this her favorite activity of the entire trip! She loved the hike—even though it was challenging at times, she embraced it and had a blast. My friend and I completed the hike in strapped sandals, and while it was a bit of a workout, we managed just fine and even received help along the way when needed. My daughter is a strong swimmer, and although I’m not, I found the swimming at the waterfall very manageable. The water felt amazing, and being so close to the waterfall was magical. I even swam underneath it—it was such a powerful and refreshing experience! The journey there was equally incredible. We were taken on a canoe ride by members of the Indigenous Embera community, and the scenery felt like something out of Pocahontas—it was truly breathtaking. After the waterfall, we hiked back and returned by canoe to the village, where we were welcomed with traditional songs and instruments. The villagers showcased beautiful handmade souvenirs, offered temporary tattoos, and invited us to join in traditional dances. Learning about their culture, tasting their food, and seeing how they live was deeply meaningful. My daughter even made friends with some of the village girls and played with them—it was heartwarming to see that connection. This was, without question, the best experience we've ever had. 10 out of 10. 100% recommend!
