First day alternative transportation instead of train is a car with a driver; the road takes 4 hours and lies through Kamchik Mountain Pass

If you plan your second day trip in Fergana Valley to Thursday or Sunday, you can visit Kumtepa Bazaar it is in Margilan works from early morning till midday, the largest market in Fergana Valley.

It is recommended to have some extra cash in US dollars to buy the souvenirs, food, tipping and for other expenses. There are many ATMs but you can’t withdraw US dollars they always give you cash in local currency and there is a limit

On this tour you visit architectural marvels which have a rich history and important religious sites. It’s recommended to follow a specific dress code when visiting these iconic landmarks. Both men and women should wear clothing that covers their shoulders and knees. Avoid wearing tight, revealing, or transparent clothing. Women should cover their hair with a headscarf or shawl when they enter to holy places

Kokand

Meet your driver at 07.10 transfer to the train station of Tashkent and the train leaves at 08.10 am (on the way train stations: Orzu, Pop, Kokand) and reaches Kokand at 12.28.

Meet your local guide and driver and start sightseeing tour in Fergana Valley. Visit the most impressive sight of Kokand is the Khudayar Khan Palace , one of the most glittering royal residences in Central Asia. The Palace originally had got 113 rooms set around seven courtyards and this days travelers can visit 19 of rooms which is remained.

Jome Mosque

Juma Mosque— Juma Mosque in Kokand was built by King Umar Khan between 1809 and 1812, and it was the khan’s primary place of worship. The mosque remained shut for most the 20th century, but reopened after much-needed restoration in 1989. There is a minaret and 98 glorious redwood columns, carved and imported from India.

Norbut-Biya Madrasah

Norbutabey Madrasa built in the 1790s, has an attached graveyard (Dahmai shakhan or cemetery of the khans) that includes the Modari Khan Mausoleum where Omar Khan and his wife, the poet Nadira Begim, are entombed. Built in 1825, it has a grand entry portal with an ornate mosaic of blue glazed tiles.

Rishton

Rishtan town is famous for its blue-and-green ceramics and the oldest center of ceramic art in Central Asia. Visit one of the pottery studio of the town.

Margilan

Nowadays the majority of silk is made large factories and most of these are in China. However, it is still possible to see traditional methods of weaving along the Silk Road. One of the best-known places is in Margilan in the Fergana Valley, where visitors are welcome to tour in a small factory. If it is Thursday or Sunday, visit Kumtepa Bazaar, the largest market in Fergana Valley.

Tashkent

After the sightseeing continue to drive to Tashkent (the total driving for that day 5 hours, 320 km). The road to Tashkent lies through Kamchik Mountain Pass. Kamchik Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2.200m (7,217ft) above the sea level, located in the Namangan Region, in far eastern part of Uzbekistan. On the horizon the snow-capped peaks of the Fan Mountains come into view. The pass is located in the Fergana Valley between the Namangan Regions and Tashkent. End of Tour to Fergana Valley.
