What To Expect
Lagunas Escondidas de Baltinache
Walk to the beginning of the trail where you can visit the 7 lagoons. Surprise yourself with the crystal clear waters of the lagoons and ask yourself how such a thing is possible in the middle of nowhere. Since March 3, 2025, you can swim in one of the lagoons.
Cordillera de la Sal
As part of the route to the Baltinache lagoons, we pass through the Llano de la Paciencia where we have the Cordillera de Sal on one side and the Cordillera de Domeyko on the other. That road takes about 1 hour to go and then another hour to return.

5.00One of the most surreal places I've ever known! The lagoons are simply amazing, with a color and a landscape that looks like from another planet. Soraya was impeccable, super attentive, explained everything very calmly and still left the walk light and fun. Perfect experience from beginning to end.

The lagoons are absolutely stunning and Francisco the nature lover has kindly shared a lot about the lagoons with us, as well as the nature and culture in Atacama. Learnt a lot and the whole immersive experience in the nature is just so great.

5.00I had an excellent experience with Pukarumi, an agency that really surprised me from start to finish. All the tours were impeccable, always meeting the schedules and with an exemplary organization. A special highlight goes to the guide João, who made all the difference in the experience. Extremely friendly, communicative and didactic, he brought a lot of clarity in the explanations and made each moment even more interesting and engaging. In addition, the quality of the food offered during the tours was very good, which contributed even more to a complete experience. 5.00The tour was great we had a lot of fun floating in the salt water really special experience. Also the guides Francisco and Pato were very informative and did it in an interesting and funny way. After the trip they really helped us to book a bus to Calama at the moment I asked. I absolutely recommend asking specifically for them.

5.00Today I drove with the wonderful guide Francisco and the driver Patricio to the Baltinache lagoons. The two are just great, our whole squad had a lot of fun, the tour was TOP organized, there was pre-information via WhatsApp, the Bulli was super punctual (ringed through again 3 minutes before pickup). The process with changing and lagoon hike was mega, everyone had a bathrobe and we walked between the salt lagoons, it was fantastic. In the last lagoon everyone went vague . A fantastic experience and I was right on the water. Francisco took great photos ... finally we were showering and there was pisco at the lagoon to the end and a great buffet. The tour was mega, also the bathrobe hike was great in the middle of the Atacama. Ten out of ten, it was a great adventure.

5.00In addition to this incredible landscape in the Atacama Desert, the swim in the Baltinache lagoon is super fun and is very well organized to move the different groups we go. We loved the information provided by our guide Andrés and that conveyed the deep sense of the ecosystem.
