What To Expect
Lagunas Escondidas de Baltinache
Walk to the beginning of the trail where you can visit the 7 lagoons. Surprise yourself with the crystal clear waters of the lagoons and ask yourself how such a thing is possible in the middle of nowhere. Since March 3, 2025, you can swim in one of the lagoons.
Cordillera de la Sal
As part of the route to the Baltinache lagoons, we pass through the Llano de la Paciencia where we have the Cordillera de Sal on one side and the Cordillera de Domeyko on the other. That road takes about 1 hour to go and then another hour to return.

4.00An enjoyable and unusual experience. George is an very good guide who gives a very clear explanation of what the tour involves and is equally clear about the dos and don'ts of bathing at Baltinache (very important to protect the environment). The pools themselves are individually very beautiful - gorgeous colours in an unusual setting. The bathing was fun, once you get over the initial shock of the cold water. Good breakfast on the way there too.

5.00We did the tour with the guide Francisca and it was all great during the tour! Clear explanations, in different languages, good time management for contemplation, bathing, photos. They provided roupoes for the group, which made all the difference, and the snack provided also very good! All recommendations on clothing and what to wear were provided before the tour and we were picked up on time at our hotel.
