Quba is a city in and the capital of the Quba Rayon of Azerbaijan. The city lies on the north-eastern slopes of Shahdag mountain, at an altitude of 600 metres above sea level, on the right bank of the Kudyal river.

Best views in Azerbaijan up the mountains

5.00Best views you will get anywhere in Azerbaijan. The drive up to Xinaliq was the highlight of our trip. We travelled with out 3 months old infant and 3 years old son. Everything was smooth. Guide Farhad took us for this trip and he was excellent, very patient and accommodated all our needs. We had amazing Shah Pilaf at the restaurant Qecrecsh forest. We would come back to Azerbaijan again to do this trip, book without any doubt, you won't regret it.

5.00When I searched the options available for touring Azerbaijan on the internet I came across the website of ‘azerbaijanguide.AZ’. Having made initial contact through the website I received an immediate response and had a brief chat with Artunj, the tour manager (whom I continued to communicate with through Whatsapp until the end of the tours I selected). As me and my family did not had a lot of time to spend in AZERBAIJAN I requested Artunj to make itineraries (tailored by me) and priced on a private tour basis for a family of 3 persons. Artunj was very patient, helpful and offered good clear guidance to me with each of our requested tours and we ended up booking 3 tours with ‘Azerbaijan guide’. The tour of Quba and Khinaluq was guided by Ferhad. A very nice gentleman and showed a keen knowledge of all the places we had chosen to see. He arrived on time at the hotel, went through the exact places and at the specified times stated on our chosen itinerary. We were so pleased with the service given by the ‘Azerbaijan guide’. With such a comfortable car and a smooth journey throughout, I would recommend everyone to use this company to visit Quba and Khinaluq.

2.00The tour guide did took us to only Quba town, Mastergah Waterfall, lunch in a local restaurant (not in forest or mountain) and a small river boat which he had no clue about because this was offered to us as a replacement because tour company told us Shahdag resort is closed till December and they cannot take us there...but the funny part is that their driver told us pay extra and I will take you there now.The tour guide has nothing to say or describe about Quba and he was quite during full tour just sitting next to the driver who himself asked about directions from 10 people on the way because he was not sure where he was going and at times we felt little unsafe because we had kids.After reaching the first place for river boat ride, we told the guide we don't want it (because it did'nt look safe) so he said where do you want to go then? I told him you should know.The only positive thing was Mastergah waterfall and the food in the restaurant (where no one speak English).This tour could be worth more if done with some more professional company. But Quba is a nice place to visit.

5.00I was lucky to take the tour with Artunj, gentle man, generous, very helpful, patient, and he knows actually where to go and what must be seen. Quba is very beautiful place, calm and the most noticable thing is that it is very very clean more than you think. I would love to go again with the same person.
