The first option is a 3-hour tour with a 4x4 jeep, where you are a passenger and our professional guide drives you. This tour includes off-road terrain, taking you through scenic forest paths and less accessible terrain for a more immersive experience in nature.

The second option is a 2-hour tour with self-driving included. The route includes mostly paved roads with some light off-road segments. This is ideal for travelers who prefer to experience the adrenaline along with the nature's beauty.

You can visit breathtaking sites like Hotnitsa Waterfall and Preobrazhenski Monastery, or Kapinovski Monastery and its waterfall. Other routes are available upon request.

Monastery of the Holy Transfiguration of God

Perched on a hillside just outside Veliko Tarnovo, the Monastery of the Holy Transfiguration of God (Preobrazhenski Monastery) is one of the most important and picturesque Orthodox monasteries in Bulgaria. Founded in the 14th century and later restored in the 19th century, the monastery blends spiritual heritage with remarkable natural beauty. The monastery is known for its peaceful atmosphere, panoramic views of the Yantra River gorge, and stunning frescoes by renowned Bulgarian artist Zahari Zograf. Choose between Monastery of the Holy Transfiguration of God or Kapinovski monastery.

We spent an amazing morning with our guide who was funny, attentive, and extremely friendly despite the heavy temperatures. Incredible experience and I would highly recommend this tour, both the waterfall and monastery are worth the visit.

The place we preferred in Bulgaria is the Balkan Forest .For its hilltop villages and typical wooden and stone houses, it was like the Jura! We stayed only three days, two more would have been perfect!
