Tra Que Vegetable Village
Only 15 minutes cycling from the city center, you will be surprised by the beauty of an amazing vegetable farm called Tra Que village. The special thing here is that people just use seaweeds to fertilize the herbs, so they are totally organic. Visiting Tra Que village with our bike tours, you will have an easy ride through the beautiful rice fields watching water buffaloes lounging in the mud during the hot days or glassy rivers going around the village. Moreover, you will have a chance to interact with local people when you experience farming work and making some rice paper. At the end of the tour, a bowl of Pho for lunch is a must ;) So what are you waiting for?

Our guide, Kim, was amazing! She was patient and patient with our poor English, and always had a smile on her face. And to our surprise, Kim can also speak Japanese. She said she only studied Japanese at university, but her language is excellent. Her attention to detail and polite service made for a very satisfying tour. It had been a while since my husband and I had ridden bikes, and she was considerate of us throughout the tour, ensuring our safety and guiding us, even getting off her bike to cross busy roads. During our visit to the farm, Kim's vast knowledge of the many types of vegetables and medicinal herbs was very educational. I would definitely use her as a guide again. Thank you.

This tour was amazing, we had such an incredible morning out with our guide Kim. It was a private tour with just my mum, myself and Kim. I am not a very confident cyclist but Kim was patient and kind and helpful, it was all flat and very doable. A great experience. I highly recommend. We saw the beautiful countryside, water buffalo, rice fields, the amazing 400 year old garden, tried herbs, tried local food, helped plant and water the veggies and planted herbs. A fantastic tour and great morning!

The trip was really fun. We went with our six and eight year-old daughters and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our guide Tin Tin was really fun, energetic and could answer all of our questions. We had the girls on the back of our bicycles which was an invigorating cycle through Hoi An. It was certainly a local experience and perhaps not for the faint hearted. The farm was pristine. The farmers were a lot of fun and allowed us to be hands-on, learning how to plant, water and move the soil. We were able to include rice paper cooking and a buffalo ride. It was a terrific morning!

Emma has been a brilliant guide today. Speaks very good English. Biking was a bit scary at times. We learnt so much about farming which was so interesting as we come from a farming region in our country. Lunch was very authentic. Well done Emma xx

We went on an amazing and immersive organic farm tour. Jackie our guide was the best. We were able to immerse into rural life and organic farming practices. Jackie translated all my many questions about organic farm practices and came away informed about traditional farming way of life. Learnt about traditional medicine making and uses and finished the morning with a delicious home cooked lunch. Highly recommend for those who have an interest in traditional life and organic farming practices. Thankyou Jackie.

My tour guide was Jackie and she was very good. She knew we were new to Hoi An's traffic and rode her bicycle slowly so we could catch up with her. She also took an alternative route back to Hoi An so we could snap more pictures at the rice field. It was overall an insightful tour to the vegetable village and rice cracker making. Will definitely be back :)

Bicycle tours, vegetable countryside observations, farming experiences and local food. The friendly guide explained each place very well, and it was easy to understand, and Hilling was good at seeing the place.
