Konjic

Konjic is a town and municipality located in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in northern Herzegovina, around 60 kilometres (37 mi) southwest of Sarajevo. It is a mountainous, heavily wooded area, and is 268 m (879 ft) above sea level. The municipality extends on both sides of the Neretva River. As of 2013, it has a population of 26,381 inhabitants. The town is one of the oldest permanent settlements in Bosnia and Herzegovina, dating back almost 4000 years; the city in its current incarnation arising as an important town in the late 14th century. Konjička Stara Ćuprija (Stara Ćuprija = English: Old Bridge) was built between 1682 and 1683 by Ali-aga Hasečić (as shown by a stone plaque at the centre of the bridge). It was built over six slightly pointed stone arches. It is the best-preserved Ottoman bridge in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The arches were destroyed by the retreating German army in March 1945. The bridge was rebuilt in its original state between 2003 and 2009. The bridge is now proclaimed a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Jablanica

The Memorial Complex of the Battle on the Neretva in Jablanica Includes the transfer and visit to the city of Jablanica. The Memorial Complex of the Battle on the Neretva in Jablanica is dedicated to the Battle on the Neretva. In order to mark this event with dignity and integrity, the Memorial Complex was opened on 12 November 1978 to mark the 35th anniversary of the Battle of the Neretva. The Memorial Complex included the Monument on Makljen near Prozor, designed by Boško Kućanski. The Complex in Jablanica and the Monument on Makljen was ceremonially opened by Josip Broz Tito.Following the then practice of building memorial museums at authentic historic sites, the complex in Jablanica was also built at the place where the crucial moment of the operation took place, the fateful passage across the Neretva river and the rescue of the wounded and sick, while the Monument on Makljen was built at the site where partisans fought decisive battles to protect the central hospital. The Monument on Makljen was later handed over to Prozor Municipality. In 2009, the Commission to Preserve National Monuments of BiH designated the historic site - the memorial complex of the Battle on the Neretva in Jablanica as a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I had a really great day with Denisa and Mirza. They were consummate hosts and shared lots of historical and cultural information. Loved the various excursions, in particular Mostar and the cave, and made it Kotor efficiently and safely. This is a terrific way to cover a lot of ground while still seeing a bunch of sites in Herzegovina.

We would really recommend this tour from Sarajevo to Kotor. We stopped in Mostar but also some less famous but really beautiful and interesting places in Bosnia. Our guide, Ensar, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He also stopped when we needed for breaks and to buy snacks and dropped us our hotel in Kotor! An enjoyable and memorable day!

Our "Transfer from Sarajevo to Kotor + Herzegovina tour" was largely a fantastic experience, thanks to our driver, Kamal. He truly provided excellent service and demonstrated superb driving skills throughout the journey. Kamal was incredibly flexible and friendly, making our long transfer much more enjoyable. He was accommodating to our needs and created a very pleasant atmosphere in the car. The reasons I've rated this tour 4 stars instead of 5 are due to two issues. Firstly, there was a miscommunication between Viator and the tour operator company. I was under the impression my order was fully confirmed, and it wasn't clear that a third party was involved in fulfilling the booking. This led to some confusion and ultimately resulted in me paying an additional €35, which was an unexpected and unwelcome surprise. Secondly, and more concerning from a safety perspective, the driver was observed texting while driving on several occasions. While Kamal's driving skills were otherwise excellent, this practice is a significant safety concern.

Very beautiful trip, passing by places of amazing beauty. Kemal was a caring guide. Very well worth it. Bosnia is a little explored destination. Sarajevo is a charming city and the best way to follow to Montenegro is through this tour.

Our guide, Kemal, was amazing. Professional but personable and extremely funny. He shared just enough info about each of our stops to make it interesting but not so much that it felt like a school lesson. We also had some good real life conversations about life in Bosnia and in general. He is also a really good photographer, knows the best spots for those insta moments. Thank you

I just completed a private tour from Kotor to Sarajevo, and it exceeded all my expectations! Muammar my guide was exceptional—friendly, enthusiastic, and incredibly knowledgeable about the history and culture of both Kotor and Sarajevo. The journey itself was stunning, with picturesque views of the mountains and coastline along the way. We made several interesting stops, allowing us to explore charming towns and take in breathtaking landscapes. In Sarajevo, we delved into the rich history of the city, visiting important landmarks and learning about its diverse cultural heritage. Muammar shared personal anecdotes and insights that truly enhanced the experience. Highly recommended tour!

Driver arrived on time, was friendly and we reached our destination safely. This tour, however, was not as advertised. The driver barely spoke English and there was no tour at any of the stops along the way. We also had trouble at the border because the driver did not have the proper permits to take people across the border for money.
