• Best Balkans Trip ever

  We had the best customized 5 day tour to see 5 countries! Our private tour of the Balkans from Albania to Bulgaria and back was incredible and offered many unexpected surprises! From Day 1, Miki asked what our needs were and customized to our interests. Also, very responsive company and good pricing. Each city we explored had very engaging and knowledgeable guides provided for us which added so much to the experience. Our driver for our trip was Robert, and we cannot say enough about how wonderful and smooth he made the pickups and drop offs, he even got us coffee on multiple occasions! We began in Albania, and from visiting Illyrian ruins off the beaten path, going way up at Kruje castle, and culminating in a walking tour of Tirana, Albania truly is an undiscovered gem of a country. The next day was our tour of Lake Ohrid in Macedonia. Our guide Naumka met us bright and early for a tour/ engagement photos with a local recommended photographer! An amazing day full of history and beautiful memories my fiance and I will remember for a long time! We appreciate all the effort the team made to ensure we got a good dose of history in between photos. The following day was a drive through Serbia to the city of Nis, Sofia, Bulgaria, and back to Skopje. The walker tours were remarkable snapshots for Serbia and Bulgaria respectively. I was a lot of driving, but Robert was invaluable getting us from place to place and even deftly navigating several border crossings with ease (one of our concerns going into this trip, hitting so many countries). Our walking tour of Skopje is well worth the time, seeing all the monuments and the incredible changes going on there. From there we headed to Prizen and Pristina in Kosovo. Our guide Suad was so energetic and did a wonderful job hitting the highlights of Kosovo as our time accomodated, and left us wanting more! Our trip ultimately concluded with a transfer to the airport. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience traveling through this company and would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering exploring all the beauty the Balkans have to offer.

  Miki was super responsive from the moment I contacted him about the trip till the very end! I had sent him a list of places I wanted to see in North Macedonia and Kosovo, and he customized the program to suit our needs. The guides in Macedonia (Ivana) and Kosovo (Redzeb) were amazing, they were amazingly knowledgeable, and were also marvelously fun and nice people who felt more like close friends! The driver for both countries (Robert) was an absolute gentleman, drove safely yet made sure we reached cities on time to take in everything we wanted to! The hotels Miki arranged were either 4 or 5* and were full value for the price, and we felt we got every Euro's worth of the very reasonable (best value) price! I'd fully recommend Explore Macedonia for every Balkan tour!
