I do postcards with my drawings and budget tours to top attractions and hidden gems of Transnistria. Transfer from Chishinau or start in Tiraspol. Honestly, I can’t make Maldives of my country, because it is not Maldives. But i can make an unforgettable journey through all contrasts of what it really is - beautiful panoramas and impressive soviet lost places, curious history and nowadays life in the country that doesn't exist, combining classic walk with forays for true explorers and adventurers.
Day tour takes 5+hours. It is not Stalinism, we are very volatile where to go and what to do, but default route covers must-see USSR era and modern bits of Tiraspol, Bendery and optionallly Kitskany, and my favorite nooks and crannies that I discovered doing my sketches. The trip won’t be exhausting, not boring at all, we will have time to talk about all peculiarities of past and present of Transnistria, you won’t be meeting a guide, you will be meeting a friend ☭

Tour with Anton is the borderline when you turn from tourist… into traveler!
As Anton says «It’s better to see once than to hear about it thousand times»
No guide, no clients, no «tourist» and «guide». Everything to move like local + to feel like local
Menu depends on appetite so the lunch price is excluded. We pick the cafee upon agreement but I ll sketch best options
No driving and talking. Please don’t distract the guide - crashing is not included in this tour.
Chisinau Airport
Chisinau Moldova
House of Soviets
This is a day journey with a volatile route that combines classic walk and forays for true adventurers. No moving between monuments with boring lectures. - “Look to the left, there is a building, look to the right, there is a monument”…. My ideology is to show real country and hidden gems that travelers wouldn’t find themselves. That’s why most places where we may actually go are not listed here. I can’t reveal them without risk that tourist industry will take them and spoil them. Anyway, first step - we will definitely stop by DOM SOVIETOV to say hello to comrade Lenin, what can be a better start?

Anton is giving a tour like I haven't seen before. With Dutch directness, he tackles topics that are close to the heart of the PMR. He also involves locals, whom he addresses on the street. Very special to get the perspective of several residents and to have the opportunity to ask interpreted questions. 10/10

First of all, a big thank you, Anton. It was a very special day for us. One we will always remember. Forget the standard sightseeing: with Anton, Pridnestrovie felt more like a story we stepped into. With a smile and an energy that would fit right in back in Holland, he opened the door to the soul of Pridnestrovia. The rest? No spoilers — it’s something you simply have to experience for yourself. It’s a place that kept us thinking long after the day was over.

Very nice experience with a truly local guide. He shows the history and some “secret” points in the country that doesent exist

Anton will guide you through Pridnestrovian musts, but more importantly, he will show you how is the daily life of Pridnestrovians and the struggles they face just because of being part of a country with no international recognition. I recommend to investigate before about the cultural and historical context of the country to get the maximum of the experience. Forget about the “funny” news in the internet (plastic money…) and start thinking how would you feel, how would you solve the problems about caused by being isolated internationally, and how would you imagine about the future of you and your close people, if you were in their situation. Totally recommended experience.

Had a fantastic day with Anton travelling around parts of Pridnestrovie/Transnistria. He was an incredibly informative, funny, and passionate guy who was happy to answer all my questions about life in a country that doesn't exist! I really appreciated the fact he was a local resident as well, and he even facilitated conversations with members of the public when I wanted to ask more questions. He knows some good spots as well, some away from the typical tourist trail. I can wholeheartedly recommend Anton to anyone wanting to learn more about this part of the world.

Not your run of the mill tour…Anton serves up an unconventional local eye narrative of this unrecognized state. There is a structured looseness to the proceedings with commentary delivered at light speed. Take the “Off Tie Beaten Path” option, you will be happy you did.

Those who return from a trip are never the same person who left... and this great experience with Anton gives you many questions that you do not necessarily find the answer to. Anton takes you to see the most touristic places in Transnistria and makes you take nice souvenir photos, but that's probably not the point, it's not what you take home. What you learn is that in this "state that does not exist" there are people like us, who have their lives, who work and who have their interests and their passions and who suffer more than anyone else this situation of legal limbo. It is not for the traveller to say what a state really is, but to know new worlds and new people!

I booked my tour very last minute and Anton was extremely accommodating and arranged a ride to pick me up in Chisinau the next morning to join the tour in Tiraspol. He is an excellent and not a typical tour guide you might find elsewhere. Our tour visited some main attractions, and a number of hidden spots typical travellers would not have access to or have ideas to visit - which I won’t spoil here. Anton explains the backstories plus his personal insights about each stop we made. What was unique is that we had the chance to interact with locals firsthand on multiple occasions to hear their stories. I am a history and culture buff, and did extensive researches before my visit. I still learned a lot about the history of Pridnestrovie and the country’s complications with its neighbours. I decided to extend my tour with him 1 on 1 so we travelled in his car a bit further to Bendery and the surroundings, where we had more detailed conversations about the country and its past. Anton had no problems answering my questions that some may find political/controversial. He was also willing to stop at any place upon my request to take photos and sightsee. Finally, we said good bye and he arranged a ride for me back to Tiraspol, with a stop at Sheriff FC’s merch shop at the stadium on my request. All in all, a truly unique experience that was not only eye opening, informative, and fun. Thank you again Anton and I recommend anyone visiting Pridnestrovie to reach out to him to tailor your own itinerary with him. I found him from Reddit recommendations but he can be found on the official PMR Tourism website and his Facebook page called Transnistria travel

What an unforgettable day in Pridnestrovie! I joined a one-day trip with Antón, and it was absolutely worth it. He didn’t just show us the sights — he opened a window into everyday life here. Antón answered all of our questions with patience and passion, and even stopped locals on the street so we could talk with them directly and learn more about their experiences. It was fascinating, genuine, and eye-opening. It’s true what they say: it’s better to see it once than hear about it a hundred times. If you want to truly understand this unique place, go with Antón — you won’t regret it!
