Nixon was our driver, he was on time, informative, and not pushy at all while showing us (it was just my partner and I) around the island. We did exactly what the tour excursion promised, stopped when we wanted to for local fruits and whatever else we wanted to do. We had plenty of time at each stop and the tour was exactly 5 hours. We felt very safe, driving around this crowded island even on such winding steep roads. This was absolutely one of the best ports I have seen and would highly recommend this specific tour and guide.

St Lucia is a wonderful island, with beautiful nature. Inside traveling you discover a lush forest with gigantic leaves lapping the road. And they make you forget the many holes! Actually, we have also seen a lot of work to fix them. The west coast has the most popular beaches, especially around Soufriere. But a marvel was the botanical garden created by Louis XIV to recreate the French soldiers in the adjoining baths. And not to mention the beauty of the 2 Pitons.

Bathing suits are a must!! The mud baths were busy but we really enjoyed this stop. We visited the waterfalls and botanical garden as well. Both were beautiful and educational. The peaceful atmosphere of the botanical garden had a calmness to it which was appreciated. A waterfall in the botanical garden provided a lovely view. Our driver, TMex ( Mexinim) was knowledgeable, timely, connected to locals and very friendly. We would recommend using his services. Our trip time was over an hour and he provided information regarding this island while we traveled. Great trip!

Above and beyond from the beginning to the end of our shore excursion:) Our driver Maximin was the absolute best in any regard! Pick up and drop off at the cruise port was perfect, the ride was smooth and fun, Maximin explained everything of interest to us on the ride and stopped on the way so we could take pictures. The places we visited were awesome ( volcano, Botanical Garden, waterfalls and the mud bath experience was so much fun 🤩! I highly recommend this excursion!

The baths are an experience not to be missed. You can avoid all the unnecessary tours by just paying for the baths, 10 bucks. They have assistants to help you mud up and enjoy the experience. Showers to rinse off at hand

This private tour is the way to go. We loved every moment and our guide Nixon was the best. He was very attentive to our requests and the stops we wanted to take. If you want to see the beauty of St Lucia then book a trip with Captain Sam’s. You will not regret any of it.

Maximin Duncan was an absolute pleasure. From start to finish he made our tour one to remember! From navigating the winding and steep roads of the island, Maximin tried to minimize the impacts by driving very carefully and thoughtfully. He showed us spots not originally mentioned on the tour. Maximin was careful to ensure we were well taken care of throughout. Would definitely book again and will be recommending any friends visiting the island to do the same! Thank you again Maximin.

We arrived in St. Lucia on Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas at around 9 am March of 2025. Lance from Captain Sam's tours was waiting for us exactly as stated next to the pier taxi stand in St. Lucia holding a sign with our name on it. To our surprise it was a private tour for only the hubby and me! I figured I'd be in at least a group of 10 for the $220 we paid. We went through Marigot and Castries to the Pitons. Going to the volcano and mud bath was a bucket list item checked off for the hubby. The beautiful botanical garden was a shady tropical flowering jungle. Since we were on our own, we were able to customize the rest of the tour to our likes. We stopped at a beautiful wood carving shop, a custom chocolates shop, and a bread shop that had delicious pork pastries similar to empanadas but even better. We also stopped at many spots for great picture taking as the views were breathtaking! We loved our guide Lance who was very conscious of traffic, road construction etc. and made sure we were back on board the Freedom with a little time to spare as we like. I highly recommend Captain Sam Tours when you are in St. Lucia on a cruise or staying on the Island for tours or any type of transportation you may need. Thank you Lance and Captain Sam Tours!

that trip did not include payment to botanical garden and mud hot springs in suofiere and nobody mentioned that botanical garden doesn't take credit cards at all and volcano and sulfiere supposed to take it but conveniently machine is always off line even local stands take every card at the same time i think all should be included in price to avoid confusion and inconvenience
