Trowulan Archeological Site
Wringin temple. This is the largest temple in Trowulan and is believed to have been the main gate to the Majapahit capital.
Tikus Temple
This temple is named after the many rat statues found inside. It is believed to have been a place of worship for Durga, the Hindu goddess of destruction.

5.00Thoroughly enjoyed this day tour from Surabaya. Our guide Agus and driver arrived in advance and messaged on WhatsApp when they arrived. Agus was very knowledgable and skillfully explained the history of the Majapahit Kingdom and its role in the region over time on the way to the sites. He then able to point out many of the aspects of the history as we toured the artefact sites. The tour left me much more informed about the regions history - which I knew essentially nothing about prior. As I was staying at the Majapahit hotel it lined up well with the story behind the name! Bottled water was included, along with a stop for light drinks (iced tea/coffee etc.) and then an additional stop for lunch - both included. Modern bathrooms were available at both stops. The lunch menu was quite extensive and had some meat free options as well. Overall a fantastic day and so glad we did this tour!

5.00Nice excursion to museum and multiple beautiful temple sites around the Trowulan area. Most of the temples had no other visitors, or very few, so they were very peaceful. My guide Djoko was great.
